After seeing the D23 teaser for the new Willow streaming series, I just sat down and re-watched the original Willow from 1988 which I think I only saw once at the theater and then once on VHS. Definitely 80's fantasy with some cheesy moments but entertaining for sure. Looking forward now to the series.

Just watched for the first(&last) time. It’s not great and it’s probably the weakest of the Thor movies. Disappointing since Taika had free reign with this one. Oh well, I hope he had fun making it cuz I didn’t watching it.
The Director needs to recalibrate the humor quotient in his Marvel work. Ragnarok hit a sweet spot. L&T was a case of more not being better.

Currently watching Gerald's Game starring the very talented Carla Gugino, who I was a big fan of for her work in Sin City. Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, and was for many years deemed unfilmable. The forested setting reminds me of The Intruder, starring Dennis Quaid, which I highly recommend.

Odd movie. Good and bad at the same time. It feels like a fairy tale but also somewhat empty at the same time. I felt like it slowly tried to build something up which ultimately lead to nothing for me except a satisfying ending which wasn't really connected to the rest of the movie. Worth watching? Not sure, glad I did but I don't think I'll watch it again in the future.

Currently watching Killer Queen, the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2017 motion picture The Babysitter starring Samara Weaving. Ken Marino from The Other Two has an expanded role in this one and is very entertaining.

Just watched Thor: Love and Thunder on Netflix (Europe) and it was far better than I expected.

If you would have believed the comments on the internet you would think that this was the worst MCU movie, even just the worst movie of all times. Demasculating Thor, yada yada ya....

It wasn't by far, there was great acting, great action and a lot of comedy. The only downside was that there were three to four cringe moments in the movie when the comedy fell flat on its face, but for the rest it was an entertaining film.

Really loved how Russell Crow played Zeus, especially when walking down the stairs 😂

In the Thor MCU movies Thor: Loveand Thunder shares a second place with Thor, after Thor: Ragnarok and before Thor: The Dark World.

100% not a film, but I like the audience here and can't find a better place :) No harm, no fowl...🙏

Lexx (1996-2002)

Is totally off the wall, early to mid 90's madness and I love it for what it is, first season is a wild ride. After that Lexx tends to trail off as lacks that attitude that the 1st season absolutory nailed.

I tend to watch as a film, got the disks digitised all, the media player does the rest, the NAS serves up and that's all I need

May his Merciful Shadow fall upon you, better still me 😂

I looked up Lexx, Prime wants $2 an episode, nope not going to pay $40 for season 1. VUDU streaming has it free with commercials, but bizarrely just Seasons2-4 listed. Suggestions?

Season one is well worth the watch, rest not so much. $2 an episode LOL for a hocky 90's Sci-Fi just no. I'd need to look; I paid buttons for the box set years ago (seasons 1&2), $40 US forget it. five buck tops LOL.

Some episodes are on YT, if you like you know what to do...

I put off watching this because I really didn't care for the book. I did not realize it was done by Mike Flanagan so I just might need to watch this now.

I was a bit put off by that Crowe moment. In general I found his portrayal of Zeus to be very odd to say the least and certainly not what I was expecting. That entire scene put this movie into the 'kind of sucks' neighborhood for me. A big wtf moment.

Used to read a lot of Stephen King when I was younger. I stopped after reading this one. Just too bizarre for my tastes.

Ant-man and the Wasp (2018)- Outstanding sequel. In a post credit scene Scott Lang misses the snap.

Done with this, the comics are way better by a long chalk. There the imagination takes off; the films are just a function of profitability; rinse wash and repeat.

I may watch as your rarely off the mark, but I'm so burned out with the whole superhero thing. I want drama, thrillers, adventure, horror, Sci-Fi done well not this current copy & paste nonsense with needless and unwanted politics.

Above all I want to be entertained, is that too much to ask...
