Just finished the very entertaining Do Revenge on Netflix. Would recommend.

Get Out (2017)- A most excellent horror movie tailored for African Americans* that hopefully most of the audience can relate too and enjoy regardless of your ethnic background. If you get to see the alternate ending, that was the one the director first wanted because he thought it was the most realistic. Audiences hated it as compared to the actual theatrical release ending.

* Maybe not worded correctly, but it is something that I think resonates.

Was somewhat tired and wanted a movie that I could sit back and check my brain at the door. Moonfall fit the bill and my god is it bad! Soooooo bad. No really it is bad IMHO.

But, we watched it. Cracked up a few scenes... rolled the eyes a more than a few scenes.

When I want bad movies, my go to is Mystery Science Theater 3000. Ed Wood has nothing on Coleman Francis when it comes to bad movies. :)

I love these movies when they are from a different POV. That's why I love Hoodwinked and Into the Woods. And there used to be an RPG way back when that you could play both sides, and whichever side you played looked good and the other evil.

I posted it already but you should check out "Ophelia" with Daisy Ridley. A different take on "Hamlet".

The Last King of Scotland (2006)

No experience of Idi Amin's regime, equally film doesn't paint a pretty picture and no doubt was far worse in real life. Forest Whitaker nails the dictator portraying a violent larger-than-life character who's clearly paranoid, out of his depth as a leader all adding up to a very dangerous individual.

Amin should have answered for his crimes, not have been sheltered and live to a tidy age. Been places, seen things tribal behaviour is a factor, cruelty & genocide is not one of them.

Rec The Last King of Scotland, it's a fictional film, Yery much based on real events of the day - not a soft watch mind, be warned the more you dig the worse it gets...

Is that still broadcast?
Do you have or use Pluto TV? They have a channel that runs it 24 hours/day.

In case you or others aren't aware, Pluto TV is a free streaming app w/commercials that has a couple hundred live channels and on-demand for older movies/TV shows. It's really quite good if you like older sitcoms. They have channels that run Happy Days/Laverne and Shirley all day. Family Ties, Three's Company, Buck Rogers, and probably more I'm not remembering.

Is that still broadcast?

Yes. Season 13 of MST3K (crowd funded for 13 new episodes) is currenlty running, plus access to all the old ones, including the Netflix, Comedy Central and Sci-Fi channel seasons.

Spiderhead (2022)- Psychological thriller about a relaxed, luxurious prison where the inmates have volunteered to be drug Guinea pigs, the goal to develop drugs to make people better people. It tried but failed, slow burn, not worth the payoff.

Jurassic World Dominion (2022)- Ok, are we done now?

Dinos rule kind of, with the help of unscrupulous people, but they need a good story too. Promising start if you can accept the premise. Almost all of the original stars, but convoluted sinks fast story, next gen, big scary dino, unrealistic raptor chase scenes, obligatory calamity and big dino fight scene, with none other than Tim Cook as the owner of the Evil Corporation who is also obliged to be dinner. ;)

Ok, not Tim Cook just Campbell Scott, who could be his brother. 😁

I looked up Lexx, Prime wants $2 an episode, nope not going to pay $40 for season 1. VUDU streaming has it free with commercials, but bizarrely just Seasons2-4 listed. Suggestions?
