Almost done watching Johnny Mnemonic starring Keanu Reeves. Very Lawnmower Man-esque. Would love it if there had been more gratuitous nudity like Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Also in this scene he uses an "iPhone."

Just finished Barbarian starring Bill Skarsgård (It) and Justin Long (Jeepers Creepers). Great subversion that Rian Johnson could learn a thing or two from.
Currently watching the critically acclaimed folk film Midsommar. Florence Pugh is such a talented actress.
Interview With A Vampire (1994)- I said previously a Few Good Men was probably Tom Cruise’s best film. I stand corrected, this would be his best film* and probably Brad Pitt, the conflicted vampire’s too. Dynamic, full toothed performances 
, Kirsten Dunst‘s performance was impressive. The film has epic qualities, the Theater Des Vampires is impressive.
*I say this because it does not feel like Tom Cruise playing Tom Cruise.
As far as modern vampire stories, this has to be one of, if not the best, with outstanding vampire psychological profiles.

The newly released Netflix original film All Quiet on the Western Front. I had read the novel on which it is based in its English translation many years ago in middle school, and don't remember much of the details. The film is very beautifully shot.
Please give us your feedback afterward, I also read the novel in high school and liked the film.
I really enjoyed the new version.
It's been a long while since I've read, and seen, the originals.
The new movie seemed to go in a different direction which I really enjoyed. Especially the scenes of the treaty process.
The original film seemed to, if memory serves, follow the novel much more closely while the 2022 version uses many of the novels elements as well but like i stated above it does use a little artistic licence to broaden the scale of the film.

If you look closely, you'll notice that when Major Kong is going through the survival kit he mouths "Dallas" instead of "Vegas". It was right after JFK was assassinated and Kubrick thought it might be too much so he just changed the dialog.
Blade of the 47 Ronin, the sequel to the 2013 Keanu Reeves film 47 Ronin. It's incredibly bad. The original film has a 16% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes; but I can't imagine it being worse than this. The acting and dialogue are stilted, and the cinematography is uninspired. The only things it has going for it are costume design and the subject matter.

We visited Studio Ghibli’s long-awaited theme park. It’s a sensory delight.
The 494-acre park will open next month in Japan. By design, it’s no Disney.

- Sleepy Hollow (1999)- first pick. A modern classic, superb in all ways. The Iron Maiden always makes me shudder.
- Hocus Pocus
- Practical Magic
- Witches of Eastwick- liked not cherished.

I’ve recently watched All Quiet On The Western Front, very beautiful movie.
And, not really a movie, more of a documentary, 9/11: Four Flights, overwhelmingly sad.

But it does very little to fight his typecasting. I'd assume that he's getting tired of being the dad to save daughters and others. It is a good movie, paced well, and has a great cast, but a too familiar plot perhaps.
