Starting this after watching the original for the first time earlier this week. Very funny! It has David Thewlis from the HBO original series Landscapers.

Just finished the hit motion picture Don't Worry Darling, starring the talented Florence Pugh. It's basically Stepford Wives but updated with 21st century filming techniques. It's fun, but just don't expect anything groundbreaking. I also understand the comparisons to Get Out; very similar cinematography, set design, and musical cues.

Currently watching the Netflix original film Falling for Christmas, with Lindsay Lohan in her first major motion picture appearance in nearly a decade. Very weak return for her. It's like a very bad generic Lifetime movie. She does have a multi-picture deal, so hopefully she's given some better material in the future.

Monsters (2010)- 6 years after a satellite brings back alien spores, Northern Mexico has become an infected zone as 2 Americans cross it in an attempt return to the United States. it’s good and bad, mostly just a journey with sights. ;)

Watched this after you mentioned it. Very Guillermo del Toro-esque.

Just starting this after having watched her in Midsommar and Don't Worry Darling recently:

Yeah she's a great actress. I have seen both of those movies also. Just watched Don't Worry Darling the other night - I wasn't planning to because I was under the impression it was a 'chick flick' but then realized it isn't. I enjoyed it.

Yes, I watch a lot of repeats :):
Red Sparrow (2018)- Excellent espionage story. There is a book series, trilogy, enjoyable reading.

Joel Edgerton was very good in this. But I think there should have been some nudity given the subject matter.

Just finished the 2018 A24 motion picture Never Goin' Back, a slice-of-life story similar to 2 Broke Girls with Kat Dennings.

I've been thinking of watching this one. I'll have to grab some time to do so. Still odd the women in it is the bald girl from Stranger Things of which I also have a lot to catch up on!
But I'll watch the first Holmes tomorrow I think.

My wife and I are watching Christmas movies. Last night we watched The Christmas Calendar. A good movie, but predictable.
The Hallmark Channel put out better than 100 Christmas movies last year. It's not like there's much that isn't predictable. ;)

It really is amazing that Hallmark (and Lifetime) can put out 100's of Christmas movies every year with the exact same story/plot, with bad acting and even worse writing, and yet they're popular as all get-go. It's formulaic feel-good at its best. At worst, they offer up some great Christmas decoration ideas!

It's not like she has ever been an even mediocre actress to begin with. Her return was under a very low bar.
