..now who dont like a western:

Ballad of Buster Scruggs
That one had some highs and lows for sure. I quite liked it though.

This was a really good film. It's about America upping their support of the Muhyadin in Afghanistan vs the Soviet Union and eventually helping bring about the end of the USSR.

And a few minutes at the end about how we failed them, Afghanistan, after they had defeated the USSR and hints/ infers what led to the events on 9/11 ... I think is a good way to put it... ?

That had quite a riveting ..and scarey story. I'd certainly watch Charlies war again.

Swordfish.

Such an extreme movie..but entertaining.

Wot I found worrying is the is the promotion of the principle - you hit us and we will hit back much greater. Hitler applied the same idea after the initial bombing of Berlin.
But hey, it's only a movie.

Captain Marvel (2019)- In the Marvel Universe, loved and cherished… by me. :D

Erm.. I don't watch super hero movies..but is cap ..oh - I got captain America confused. Silly me..having a senior moment.
(Thought captain America had had a sex change. Hey 'Dr Who' did..so any things possible.)

Good looking movie poster though.

Reservoir Dogs. Wow! Incredibly overrated imho.
:apple::apple:

Reminds me of all the hype and furor over The Coen Brothers'* first film, Blood Simple. Another one I greatly anticipated seeing and then was let down.

*Did I put that apostrophe in the correct spot? :p

And this is only movies. I saw this article that included what seasons/epidodes of series to watch along with extras and credits scene. I was getting overwhelmed just reading it.

The Israeli series FAUDA on Netflix shows Israel's struggle to survive in the fight against terrorism. Harrowing and sad, but can definitely be recommended!

Out of the Past (1947) directed by Jacques Tourneur.

Finding a more perfect noir movie than Out of the Past is a challenge destined for failure. This 1947 movie features the eternal Robert Mitchum, a not-yet famous Kirk Douglas, and a splendid Jane Greer in a complex story full of twists that ends in a surprising way.

I highly recommend this movie, a true work of art which features so many cigarettes being smoked that I thought I was going to get pulmonary cancer through the screen.

I watched this yesterday.. Found it on the Archive web site.
Certainly lots of smoking. If some ones asks me if I smoke, I can say "No, but I've watched 'Out of the past'...so know wot it's like."
It's amusing to see two dimpled chins in a movie..good question for movie buffs.?
And the cars..!! Dang!!

Shadow of a Doubt (1943) directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

What a fantastic movie! I am not sure why this movie is not regarded and known as the other Hitchcock movies. Shadow of a Doubt is almost entirely character driven, with tension progressively increasing. Its 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes is well deserved.
