lol I watch that one a few times through the year, next to The Day After Tomorrow it’s my favourite disaster film.Meteor (1979)
After a collision with a comet, a nearly 8km wide piece of the asteroid "Orpheus" is heading towards Earth. If it hits it will cause an incredible catastrophe which will probably extinguish mankind. To stop the meteor NASA wants to use the illegal nuclear weapon satellite "Hercules" but discovers soon that it doesn't have enough firepower. Their only chance to save the world is to join forces with the USSR who have also launched such an illegal satellite. But will both governments agree?

Probably one of the best big-budget sci-fi films to never reach a big audience. Written and produced by James Cameron and expertly directed by Kathryn Bigelow. A film that is more noir than actual sci-fi. It's a visceral warning of voyeurism, technology & power being a fusion of science fiction and social noir... This is Cyberpunk, nor the fluffy version all too often portrayed.

Project Hail Mary, I liked the feel good vibe of this movie. Nice entertainment to enjoy in a movie theatre with a big bag of popcorn and a cup of (diet) coke.

He’s not. That’s Edward Woodward.
I only found out that Elijah Wood (of LOTR) was in Back to the Future 2 as a child actor yesterday.Back to the Future (1985)
Eighties teenager Marty McFly is accidentally sent back in time to 1955, inadvertently disrupting his parents' first meeting and attracting his mother's romantic interest. Marty must repair the damage to history by rekindling his parents' romance and - with the help of his eccentric inventor friend Doc Brown - return to 1985.
