Good film, daft and funny in some spots, and I just thought those kids must have had the time of their lives their lives making that end sequence.. and it reminded me of this:

Which here in the UK is now on You Tube for free thanks to ITV, so I had to watch it, and a very young Jodi Foster who was great even then.

Oh and ironically, the one who plays the baddy in Weapons is the wife of a Mr Ed Harris who was in this that I have also watched this weekend:

I watched the first three of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and am now watching Now You See Me; Now You Don't, the third movie of the franchise...

I will go back to watch the remaining two of the Pirates movies, but I felt kinda burnt out after the first three...

Well, I went back...

They were both alright, a good bit of mostly mindless entertainment; but I will say the sappy romantic in me enjoyed the ending of the last flick...

Crimes of Passion (1984)

A mysterious woman, fashion designer by day and prostitute by night, is hounded by two men: a married father of two children and a sexually repressed preacher. A Ken Russell film so strap in for a wild ride... One that tends to stick with you...

FWIW Donald P. Borchers is a coproducer hence why on YouTube and a channel well worth watching.
This the Producers Cut as YouTube's community guidelines do not approve of the artwork used in the director's cut. Want the DC, you'll need to source elsewhere.

Fail Safe (2000)
1776996054797.png

Cold War tensions climb to a fever pitch when a U.S. bomber is accidentally ordered to drop a nuclear warhead on Moscow. A surprisingly good remake of the 1964 classic, a tribute that was broadcasted live with a cast every bit as strong as the original……

Hell and High Water (1954)

A privately-financed scientist and his colleagues hire an ex-Navy officer to conduct an Alaskan submarine expedition in order to prevent a Red Chinese anti-American plot that may lead to World War III. Mixes deviously plotted schoolboy fiction with submarine spectacle and cold war heroics.

Watched Michael (2026) in theaters last night.

Easily one of the greatest movie experiences in my life. Getting to vibe out to every song in this movie in a theater was a joy to behold. This is the perfect movie to put on blast in your AirPods. And trust me, you will think so too once you’ve seen it.

I highly recommend this to anyone. Rating: 9.4

I watched "Caught Stealing" yesterday on Netflix.

Interesting film to say the least. I don't even know what to say about it without giving anything away. It's action-packed with enough surprises to keep you interested and while there is the typical amount of mobster violence, it's also got some dark comedy thrown in with it. Starring Adam Butler (who I'd only ever seen in "Elvis" before,) who did a good job. The cat is really the star of the show. 😉

It's worth a watch. I'd give it a 7.

What a weird film... one of these ones that try to be whacky and clever, well it just ends up being a predictable confusing mess IMO. And the performances wren't brilliant either, writing a bit weak, it has a couple of funny bits but overall, just weird weird weird.

I fell asleep watching it....... nothing more to say.

I'm gonna have to watch one of the classic older films to restore my fight in film making lol...

I was looking forward to this one but it seems to have gone into development hell for the last 4 years? So who knows when or if it'll be released.

Fail Safe (1964)

Because of a technical defect an American bomber team mistakenly orders the destruction of Moscow. The President of the United States has but little time to prevent an atomic catastrophe from occurring.

Reminds me of this documentary:

The Island of Dr. Moreau (1996)
1777205667743.png

After being rescued and brought to an island, a man discovers that its inhabitants are experimental animals being turned into strange-looking humans, all of it the work of a visionary doctor. The back story alone makes this one a completing watch as exemplifies how narcissists and abusers thrive in Hollyweird...

Repulsion (1965)
1777206821570.png

Beautiful young manicurist Carole suffers from androphobia. When her sister and roommate, Helen, leaves their London flat to go on an Italian holiday with her married boyfriend, Carole withdraws into her apartment. She begins to experience frightful hallucinations, her fear gradually mutating into madness.

Hard one as while I think this is one of the best phycological horror films produced, equally the director should have been jailed for life for the abuser he is... So I rec to pirate and watch so no funds go to the director.
