I have zero interest in anything Apple until they showoff some new desktop computers and prove they are still a computer company for advanced users. While I have tried to use the iOS system it just is not capable of real work

What "real work" are you trying to do on your phone?

I really hope they come out with a new Mac Pro
the first and original Pro product
totally forgotten
watches , iPhones, iPads, everything else
but where is the Mac Pro
last time I checked, 2013
isn't that 5 years ago, going by apple standards
a 5 year old device is obsolete
is apple still selling the old Mac Pro , "the trash can"
if they are, I'm sure the price still high, they won't even lower the price knowing that is an old device
shame on you apple
I really like you but you need to make a new Mac Pro , pronto
you don't have to make a million units
because if that is the problem and you are afraid thinking that you are not going to sell them
well make less
the problem is the ridiculous price
give us a reasonable price for the device and I'm sure it will sell
many real Pro users need a new Mac Pro
the iMac pro is good but we want, I want a new Mac pro

Was that a poem?

Isn't the SE still for sale? Seems like a good phone for you.
you missed the point. SE is severely outdated.
Anyway, latest tech, in smaller form just like latest tech in bigger form. So, it should be Iphone X -small -medium -large

I don’t really want anything bigger than the current X.

I have bought 3 iPone 8 because I like having family members register their finger prints and share access on a phone. I understood Face recognition was not allowing that... multiple users... have things changed? Will the new phones allow multiple faces? OR... do people simply give out their 6 digit pin? Do Xs use pins or only faces?

My late 2013 is feeling old too.
iOS 12 adds multiable faces.

I think you’re going to be rather disappointed if you’re expecting an Apple flagship phone with a display smaller than 5.8”.

This can’t be it. It sounds like the iPhone X successor has zero new features. None. Nothing. Zilch. 10% faster! Who would ever notice that?

There must be more than just this

(Not talking about the others two form factors)

Was that a poem?
a few weeks ago an user asked me if I was a rapper
now I'm a poet
thanks for the complement
I don't speak or write English 100% but that doesn't stopped me from trying
what is the worse that can happen
some one try to make fun of me

:D

I always thought that as long as the reader has some intelligence
many here do
then they will understand what I'm trying to say even if is not in perfect English

unfortunately i can't do nothing with the ones that have a piece of bubble gum in their head instead of a brain
those will not understand, it doesn't matter if the writer is Professor Grammar know it all

Wednesday's iPhone event does not excite me. The Apple watch and hopefully the iPad event event on wednesday will excite me. When i was stated that iOS 12 would be software refinement and stability while iOS 13 would be the ground shaking redesign, I knew that 2019 would be the craziest year. Maybe the 6.5' iPhone would get me excited, but after failing with the 7 Plus and 8 Plus, i'm not holding my breath that the "iPhone Xs Max" would be mind blowing. My iPhone X is going strong and will be for maybe another 4-5 years.

I am looking forward to returning to plus-sized phones, and finally updating my s0 watch. But I am very curious what the sales pitch will be to explain why the XS is better than the X. Improved camera and processor are not likely to get many x owners to upgrade this year unless they want to move to the “max.” I’m guessing there is some other unknown feature that will be the selling point.

Anyone else kind of pissed off that there won't be any TouchID phones coming out?

I LOVE TouchID. It's enough that if my iPhone 7 Plus were to fall into the sea next month, I'd likely go buy an 8 Plus as a replacement rather than the new notchy TouchID-less phones.

I wish Apple had kept making two lines, the FaceID phones and the classic form factor, at least for a couple more years. :(

I don't mind FaceID at all. I am looking forward to a generation which is faster and works in landscape, sure, but I'm at the point where I just sit there waiting whenever I pick up my TouchID iPad, before I'm like "oh yeah, home button"

The good news for people who like TouchID is that the iPhone 8 and 8 plus are almost certainly staying in the lineup at least another year, and likely will get a bit cheaper now.

amazing that they've decided to cripple 6.1's camera just to earn couple of $ mpre

Hmm? So its a surprise they use cheaper parts in a cheaper device?

You do realize the SE stands for special edition, right? It is likely to have a very erratic schedule because (except for Apple Watch) all their mainline phone design work is for devices at least twice as large and with a parts list that's twice as expensive.

Thats not to say another SE won't come, but they need parts that fit and a cost they can ship the thing at before they can focus on a design that works. You can look at other second tier products (iPad mini, Mac mini, Apple TV, Mac Pro, MacBook Air) and see similar erratic release schedules.

I would suspect so. I mean, really all we know at this point is the front bezel sizes and that "iPhone xs" is likely based on the filename of a leaked image.

The watch leak with the new face is a much bigger leak imho.

I’m curious about the 5.8 Xs price and how that will convert from usd to euros. I was hoping the 64 GB model to be under 1K euros VAT included... Too optimistic maybe?

Depends on your plan. If you’re on AT&T Next Every Year like I am, you can trade in your current phone and owe nothing on it. T-Mobile Jump works the same way.
Also not sure where you’re getting the $75 figure. I’m on a 2-year plan for the X and it’s $41 a month.
So a 1000 dollar handset, after 12 months you have paid 480 or 960 after the 24 months, where the data and calling costs? Or are they just forgotten about,?

This is the exact same thing all the  aficionados say every year. :)
Tims back on line, just in time for the sale pitch. Well come back tim, we have missed you...

Wish they release the rumoured MacBook Air replacement without messing it up.
Hoping for same design with retina bezel less screen, addition of usb-c port and updated internals. 15 inch version would be appreciated too.
Please Apple don’t ruin the only decent laptop remaining in your lineup!

The device I most want to see is an iMac update, preferably with at least the hex-core chips in. The iMac Pro remains too expensive but having an iMac with similar processing power to the latest top MacBook Pro would be sensible.

I'd really like to see a watch with a different face design, with the metal edge rising rather higher. I've got many tiny scratches round the curved edge of my Series 2 now, which dulls the glass. There's a reason traditional watches usually have a sunken face surrounded by metal, and Apple seem to have forgotten the key design requirement of protecting the glass from scratches by not having it so exposed. I think that's a basic design flaw and won't update till it's fixed. I love the watch and its software but the exposed glass face is a design disaster.

I'm currently using an iPhone 6+ and I gather that is Mojave compatible. I'm looking for 5G before splashing out on a new phone and am definitely not buying until that is on board.

I want to see TVOS support Atmos and send a good undecoded signal to my amp to decode instead of the annoying PCM. I was annoyed when they dropped the optical output a couple of gens ago as it stopped me having a mode of operation where we could run it without or with our big AV amp. A second HDMI output is needed for that, hopefully on the next hardware release. Many good Blu Ray players have two outputs.
