I think the « for Mac » versions used to have different colors."for mac" is a buIIsh1t. i have "standard" mx3, and a g502x (my preferred even if i dont use it for gaming) and both arent officially "for mac"
"You didn't charge the Magic Mouse after your Mac told you to charge it, so now it doesn't have a charge, so you get NO MAC! YOU LOSE! GOOD DAY SIR!"What to expect? Nothing!

Short correction:
Overall, the MX Master 4 is a far more sophisticated mouse than the Magic Mouse for every user.
You're welcome.
Honestly, practically any mouse is a better choice than the Magic Mouse.
Magic Mouse was the worst mouse apple ever created. awful Ergonomics, and infuriating way to charge.
The Magic Mouse was a good idea in an intolerably awful to hold package.
Build something in a full size productivity mouse shape. A Magic Rat.
People use the Magic Mouse?
I mean… this is MacRumors, not MacLatestFactualNews, I don’t know what you expected. So uh….making an article out of nothing eh? Slow news day I guess
I have tried the vertical MX and I hated it haha.Yes, most do, else there wouldn't be so much variation built around arch and comfort, including but not limited to mice that are held at an angle or sideways (like a soda can) to improve ergonomics.
I have seen people with bigger hands prefer smaller travel mice though, but only because they hold their mouse completely differently than others. Regardless, ergonomics are a thing, even if you use a trackball mouse.
As for the Magic Mouse, I hate it. Have only used it a handful of times (heh) and would honestly prefer their trackpad over it. Never believed in Apple fans' fascination of the trackpad until I got my MBP.
LOL, Apple mice. Anyone who uses one gets what they deserve! Well, not really, but they are historically awful devices.Form over function :-\

Ahhh, I guess I am just doing way more clicking than most people? If I ever relaxed my hand and actually placed it on the palm-rest, I’d be moving it twice a second to have to click on something. The MX Master keeps coming up on this forum when people ask for alternatives for the Magic Mouse. Not sure if it's the most popular alternative mouse - but it's probably on the shortlist.
It's the diametric opposite of the Magic Mouse in terms of ergonomics - which makes it a useful contrast. That's partly a matter of personal choice, though - people have different size/shape hands so *gasp!!!* they prefer different sizes and shapes of mice.
Yes. I basically hold/move it with my palm, and my fingers are relaxed unless I need to click/scroll.
I find the Magic Mouse very uncomfortable to use, and doing anything with the much-vaunted touch features feels like attempting a Vulcan salute. 5 minutes with one and I'm ready to throw it out of the window. That much is subjective - other people will feel the same about the size and weight of the MX Master.
The first problem with the Magic Mouse is the charging (don't know why people defend it - being able to continue working while the mouse charges is just better - there's no downside unless you go completely form-over-function and can't abide the sight of a USB port) - the second, really, is just that one size doesn't fit all and you really need a choice of mouse sizes and shapes.
(There's a MX Anywhere if you want something smaller and lower that you can still charge on the fly).
First thing to check with any 3rd party peripheral is whether it needs proprietary drivers - many don't. Certainly mice, keyboards, some sound cards, my 20 year-old Epson scanner...The problem with third party keyboard and mice is that Apple changes OS integration requirements every release, forcing manufacturers to update their software. Eventually the manufacturers orphan the device. This rarely happens on Windows.
And still I prefer it above any other mouse. The Magic Mouse is probably the least ergonomically designed product ever. Just absolute trash in terms of user experience design.
There’s no rumor here. They’ve just created an article out of thin air because a company released another mouse.I mean… this is MacRumors, not MacLatestFactualNews, I don’t know what you expected.
I find the Magic Mouse much more comfortable than the regular MX mice from Logitech (but less comfortable for me than the MX vertical), and I have heard it argued that the MM is actually more ergonomic. This is non-intuitive since we typically associate ergonomic devices with devices contoured to fit our bodies, but the basic argument is that: (1) the MM is intended to be used with fingertips alone, i.e., not "cupped" with the palm," (2) if the hand is held in a relaxed manner, the fingertips will naturally hang in the correct manner to use the MM, and (3) devices meant to be "palmed" only fit palms of a certain shape; everyone else being an approximate fit or not at all. I don't have any expertise on this subject, but I do use mine that way and therefore quite like the feel.It will be hard to move the USB-C. I am one of the seemingly few people who love the MM due to the touch area on top of it, which no other device offers. I have the MX3 and use it... sparingly, I do not find it more ergonomic at all, always return to the flat soap bar of the MM :-D.
