For a long time I was enjoying my Sony Minidisc. It can record, erase, and sounds great eventhough it couldn't sync to my Macs it was my go to mp3 player. I finally got an iPod Classic 30GB. I carried my iPod and Minidisc for a long time until the iPod Touch was released. I picked up the 1st gen. and sold that when the 4th gen. came out. During this time I went to the first 3 iPhone releases at the Apple store but never buying. I helped out a lot of my friends who purchased an iPhone/iTouch. They later bought Macs too. Finally got a nice deal on an iPhone 5s and now I nice network of Apple gear.

My first apple product was the Mac G4 which still rocks.

triple treat :) by mo'funk, on Flickr

Very first was 1st gen iPod nano, which was cool because it was so tiny, but after that was the original iPhone. That original iPhone was just so solid, I still miss that thing. I remember people actually coming up to me and asking if they could hold it or touch it, was just amazing. I'm not sure if I'll ever have another gadget experience like that.

The iPod Mini introduced me to the world of Apple.

(I absolutely despised Apple before this time.)

The iPod Classic

Back in 2005 i paid about $750 for my iPod video 60GB.
What a bargin.. haha

But now I remember that I probably owned the silver iPod mini 6GB before that.

1st gen, 4GB, iPod mini. From there I went to a 30GB iPod Video > 16GB iPod touch > 160GB iPod classic > iPhones (3gs, 4, 5) > iPad mini.

My first one was a used iPod nano 1st generation. The first I bought on my own was an iPod touch second generation, which still works today.

Ya, now you look back and can't believe you paid that much for the classic-that's more than an iPhone 5s! I'm sure it was fun though!

My very first apple device was my iPhone 5 that I purchased on September of 2012. Since then (and recently), I've purchased a 15-inch retina MacBook Pro and a retina iPad mini. I'm a part of the Apple family for a long while, I love their products! Pretty and reliable!

I bought the iPod mini back in 2005. Later on, I bought the OG iPhone; it was of the 4gb variety that Apple was only selling for a short while back in 2007.

iPod video 30GB still have it with me

iPhone 2G 4GB still have it with me in working condition.

Thanks for the replies.
I cant believe The iphone is trailing behind the classic-i get the the classic has been around longer and used to be popular but i thought iphone would do better and it seems that most newer apple customers have the iphone as there first product since that is apples main device now that iPods are kinda getting phased out.

This. The original iPhone was truly amazing. Best gadget I've ever purchased.

iPod Mini -> iPod Nano 1G -> iPod Nano 3G (fatty) -> iPod Touch 1G -> iPhone 3G -> iPhone 3GS -> iPhone 4 -> iPad 1G -> iPhone 4S -> iPad 3G -> iPhone 5-> iPhone 5S -> iPad Mini Retina LTE.

My collection in 2008 -

 :apple:

that s an awesome collection-is that the original iphone? and you have an iPod nano 3 which i always thought looked pretty cool compared to the shape of the 4g and 5g iPod nanos. And you have an awesome 1st gen nano.

Ive always wanted to get an ipod mini and make it my own-put a new battery in it, but a ssd drive (like 64GB would fit my library) and i would get a blue or green one!!!

My device history

ipod mini (2005)> ipod nano (2007)> ipod classic (2008)> iphone 3G (2009)> iphone 4 (2010) > ipod touch 5th gen (2012)> ipad mini (2013) > iphone 5S (2014).

I still have my first iDevice, a 20GB iPod with b/w LCD display from 2005. The hard drive actually failed in it, and I replaced it with a 16GB CompactFlash card. It still works, but obviously by now the battery is weak and it doesn't get use anymore because I use my iPhone now.

At the time I bought it I didn't even use iTunes, and used GTKPod to sync music to it. Worked great, but I eventually switched to iTunes when I got my Macbook Pro in 2006.

Those were good times. :)

You have all my favorite apple products! Have u ever upgraded your mini to flash or gave it some insane capacity?

how many people here on this website don't have an ios device-just wondering?

Also
how many people still have their first apple ios device?

My first one was a first gen nano. I'm pretty sure it's sitting around in a drawer somewhere still, but I haven't been able to find it when I've looked recently.
