My first iDevice was first generation iPhone. Damn I was so happy that I had it, unfortunately home and power buttons broke and even speaker and I changed it.

My first iDevice was the 1st gen iPhone in 08. Purchased one off Craigslist for a pretty decent price. I've been hooked ever since.

My first iDevice was the original iPod. I still have it and it works, but the battery life is terrible. I never had the heart to open it up and replace its battery or put a CF card in it. Maybe I should! It's not a "collector's item" since I used it a lot, especially in music graduate school to learn all the music I had to memorize. It was the best piece of technology for that degree!

I had an iPod classic 5th gen 30gb I believe. I was pretty young at the time, probably 9 or 10 and I got it as a present. I was on the swim team at the time, and competitions would last for hours and hours, I remeber using it constantly.

Ipod original 10G, still in excellent condition, still used as I recently just restored it with new battery and new drive.

My first idevice was the iPod touch 4g in 2011 it was a good device, at despite my WAY more powerful 5s, I miss that little iPod lol. Like your first love :p

2006 iPod nano 2G, 4GB Product RED. Beautiful device, and it's what got me into music way more than I ever would have without it. I loved it. Then one year I let my brother borrow it and it got stolen out of his SUV. This was only a few years back, so it wasn't worth much, AND it had my name and phone # engraved on it. Lol.

I've since moved to these guys for my music only devices.

80GB 5.5G iPod for my truck. Goes all week long, despite it being below freezing the entire week around here. It's in the single digits right now. But it thaws out and plays just fine. HDD is healthy too, but I have a CF card ready to pop in when it goes. Been nearly 8 years for the stock drive and battery though. I'm impressed.

And my new 160GB Classic. Well, I got it 7 months ago now, but it was before they discontinued them, so it was retail price from Best Buy. Have the original box still in plastic wrap with everything but the iPod untouched. And placed it in that case right out of the box. Got a nice mirror finish that hopefully will stay there. It sees inside use. The 5.5G is cosmetically beat up, but that's why it gets truck and outside duty :)

I got a iPod Classic as a birthday gift from my father (c. 2005) and was a kid then (lol am 14 now, can still be considered a kid) I do remember it was 30GB or so, and it was black and on the box it had a photo of the iPod playing Pirates of the Caribbean, and while we were checking out the cashier asked me if I had watched the movie and I told her "No." and I still haven't.

To put a long story short: I didn't buy another Apple product until 2009 when I bought an iPod Touch. Then in 2011, when my father bought me an iMac for getting good grades :roll eyes:. in 2012 when I bought a iPhone 5, then sold it a year later and with my own money bought an iPhone 5S, sold that then bought the 6 on preorder day and got it on launch. I bought a rMBP yesterday, and I love it. :D

I love Apple.

iPod Shuffle 1st Gen :D It was a birthday present in 2005. I upgraded to an iPod Classic for Christmas 2007. My first MacBook Pro was in June 2009 before I started college. Then I got my iPhone 5 in January 2013, my MacBook Pro with Retina Display in October 2013, and my iPad Mini 1st gen in February 2014.

With that first MacBook Pro, I got my family to invest in another MacBook Pro, several iPads, and two additional iPhones. My dad is really bummed that his company wants him to trade in his iPad 2 and ThinkPad for a Surface Pro. He likes to play with the iPad and do his actual work on the ThinkPad!

iPod classic. Don't remember the gen. It was the one with Jack Sparrow on the cover of the box I think s year before iphone launched.

Can't say I really liked it. Ended up returning it.

He will probably fall in love with the surface pro, assuming it's the second gen or later. It's a solid device and a great marriage between a laptop and a tablet computer. It's really the only system I feel windows 8.1 should even be allowed on.
