MacOS Bakersfield

Based on the quality of Catalina, I think Bakersfield will more appropriately capture the "beauty" of 10.16. I mean, they can't call it MacOS Dumpster Fire.

Those of you who often make the long and dusty drive along I-10 from LA to Phoenix (AKA "Hot LA") know that macOS 10.16 has to be named Blythe. Needles would be OK as well (the place where I-40 crosses the CA/AZ border), but not as many people know it. Or perhaps macOS 10.16 Needless&Blight, to go with these wonder town's beloved nicknames.

macOS SKYLINE

Seems fitting for 2020.

Monetery won’t work because it’s not really a natural feature, it’s more of a beach community. Same applies with Avalon, Hollywood, Anaheim etc. because they’re human places, not natural ones.

It’s probably not coming this year, but if they keep this up I hope they use Mt. Whitney eventually.

Then you should not use colonial names for the range. The Chinese name is Zhumulangma (珠穆朗玛), mimicking the Tibetan name, meaning Holy mother.

macOS Everest.

Gotta keep the Chinese happy.

I have previously predicted that Mac OS X.16 will be named Death Valley. It is the logical choice, and a little hint about Mac hardware running a bit warm under subpar thermal conditions.

I wonder if Craig Federighi will make the joke about the “Crack Marketing Team” this year?

IF he does someone should rush him on stage and kick em in the arse. No repeats of former phrases used in WWDC, just no.

How about macOS COVID ' the year that broke too many of us, and homage to the lives we've lost'.

I'd personally ike to see what major efforts / strides in personal security of data (Safari to file system) etc.
