I love how people talk about buying a PC like it's even an alternative.

Seriously, you can put together the sexiest pc laptop you can imagine with all the specs you want... it still runs XP or Vista. I *have* to use a Dell once in a while for work and it is PAINFUL.

If you've used PCs all your life, then it's no big deal and you might not switch to a mac. But if you are a mac user and waiting on a MBP update, can you seriously go back to PC? As your primary computer? That is astounding.

Adaptability is a human trait.. i don't get it when MAC users cannot do something with a PC.. it's either there's something wrong with the hardware or there's some learning disability with the user:D

seriously, let's say you're a mac user since birth... and now you're new job requires you to use a pc or both.. which normally happens.. what happens now?:D:D:D

Get the democrats to reverse their decision on the "Bush cell phone eaves-dropping bill", then get the CIA to bug SJ's phone and find out when the FREAKING NEW MBP IS COMING !!!

Your logic... it is flawless! Thank God your blind Apple Fanboyism has saved us from an enternal suffering of making our own decisions and minding our own business

I think some of you are going to implode out of impatience for a product you *think* should be released immediately, based solely on your overwhelming need to have the latest and greatest, or you'll somehow feel cheated. Me? I will just keep laughing at you, because it's just not serious enough to warrant all the whining, and complaining.

"Pop quiz, hotshot. There's a bomb on a bus. Once the bus goes 50 miles an hour, the bomb is armed. If it drops below 50, it blows up. What do you do? What do you do?"

nice.

there are actually some features i miss from windows. I honestly don't believe that one OS is better than the other. they are both "different"

I heartily agree with you on this. Which is why I hate it so much when people say "I'd rather shove a rock up my rectum than use windows blah blah blah"

Hey, if you want to go get a pc, by all means... I neither work for apple nor have any interest in apple sales going higher. I'm just baffled that anyone can use both platforms (like I do) and still want to go with a PC if it's their choice. Like it's any kind of alternative to a MBP. This isn't like "oh, if sony doesnt launch their new Vaio, I'm going with a Dell." Mac and PC are two very different animals.

Like I said, sometimes I have to use the PC for work -- I understand if there are people out there who must use a PC. But if you're waiting for a MBP update, it means you want to use the Mac OS. Why would you go back if you didn't have to?

I don't want to get into some pissing contest with some anonymous person on a message board about vista vs osx. You have fun doing that if you want though.

I love how people are always ready to yell out "fanboy!" at every opportunity. It must make them feel superior for some reason.

If I had just purchased a MBP because I couldn't wait any longer and was tired of people making fun of me in that other thread, then I would be in this thread making fun of all of you waiting. To see all of you pulling your hair out would also help me affirm to myself that I made a good decision to stop waiting for the/any update.

Now if Apple updated soon after a current MBP purchase,....first I would find something to moan/whine about and then start a thread to help console me that I still had made a good decision to not wait.

Either way, deep down inside I would be "bummed". So patience, and serenity now, serenity now....

I would like to leave my desktop asap considering it is considerably slow now. But.. I really don't know what to do. Why buy a slower product for the same price as a newer one that you might have to wait for? :apple:

I'm not waiting for a MBP updated because I have a problem with windows. I have been using windows for my entire life, and I haven't ever had half the of the problems that most mac users here claim to have had with the operating system. I don't prefer OSX over Windows, nor do I prefer the other way around. I'm more nuetral on the issue.

Don't assume that everybody believes that OSX is the messiah of operating systems. I don't. I'm waiting because I like the design on apple products. Because I like having the flexibility to use any operating system (including OSX). Etc.

I am calling you a blind fanboy because all you have told me is that PCs are trash and that anyone who even considers a PC must be an absolute idiot. I have yet to see you provide a sufficient reason to support your statement other than "it's PAINFUL."

I'll buy a current MBP or a Mac Pro because..

I am waiting since January. But as I want to buy a new mac since about ten years now (helped myself with cheap PCs and strong macs at work during the meanwhile), I still have got a little patience left. Not too much, though *gnarl*
