Fix Music app. Its got a broken interface that is not good for neither manging the local library nor to browse the paid Apple music.

Fix Mail so it coordinates spam rules and other rules with other Mail Apps on the same Apple account (why can my desktop mail app segregate mails while iOS cannot etc.)

Fix Home app. OMG who even created that interface and the concept of how devices, scenas and automation works?? Als; the "scene" concept is just plain wrong. I am not tying to "set a scene"....

Apply user interface guidelines. Why is every single Apple app differnt in its look and feel? Where is the old Apple constancy? (in the trash, I know)

rounded icons?? - could not care less. Well that is not true, I do care, iOS keeps getting uglier.

I want a modern mail app. The latest update is terrible and made a bad product worse. Either evolve it or give up and let the other apps take over.
iPhoto should have a setting to only keep X number of days local and the rest in the cloud (IOS and MACOS). Why have a copy of a photo you haven't accessed in months or years on your device, leave me the thumbnail and delete the larger file locally.
Agreed. Mail categories is like the camera control. A great idea badly implemented.

iPadOS 19 rather than iOS but simply:

Multi-user support.

iPads are expensive and the inability to sign into more than one user account is a real limiting factor for a “communal family iPad” which a lot of people use them for.
That the iPad hasn’t had this is one of the worst aspects of Apple. At this point, the only reason they’re not doing it is because the solution is ‘buy everyone in the family their own iPad!’.

A guest mode (like macOS) and a repair mode like how Samsung has (I think?) would also be very welcome.

Is it too much to ask if i want them to fire all the visionaries redesigning the UI so I can't find anything after an update?

iOS used to be pretty intuitive, now you have to do finger yoga before you can use the "smart" buttons.

Also I want the physical mute switch back.

Reminders app, make it more useful as a productivity app; it is for grocery shopping and very basic reminders.
Option to sort by priority; change list view options (only headers, including notes, including subtasks)

No bugs. The annual ful OS overhaul, with tons of bugs is getting old.

I'd prefer a full 18.5 launch; with improved performance

Guest mode.

If you want to e.g. show some photo(s) to people and let them pass your phone around the table, you can bet that someone will try checking another albums, your messages, etc. Most people have manners but there's always someone like that.

I want a guest mode that will provide only the very specific use that you intend to allow. And no, the assisted access won't stop the nosey ones for more than maybe two seconds...

My wish:
Siri has a bug since many iOS versions.
When my morning alarm is stopped, then a shortcut is set to read the current date, and time and then a second command to read the weather forecast of my city.
Siri can’t read both without stuttering. I can‘t understand anything.
It can do weather or date/time but not both.
German Siri voice set.

It is crazy such a basic function does not work.

Another bug: if an alarm is set, it will not show on lock screen when the alarm is tomorrow. When multiple alarms are set it will show only one on Lock Screen, skipping even the next one but showing the repeating one later.
It‘s a mess and doesn’t help to have all set alarms visible.

I would like to see more support for Face/Touch ID on third party apps and websites so I don’t need so many passwords.

I would like Apple Mail on iPhone & iPad to provide more sort options including the option to sort my emails by sender.

I would like Wallet to be redesigned.
  1. show all cards in a grid instead of not being able to see 90% as they are obstructed by a stack UI. It is weird they use a real world metaphor (stacking cards) and copied this digitally, instead of leveraging a digital UX.
  2. being able to view cards by type: credit, airline tickets, event ticket, etc.
  3. the ability to label a payment card. I have several cards with the same design (same bank), so I would like to label them (e.g 'personal', 'work'). A nice addition would be to add a sticker or color variation to the card design to further visually distinguish them.
Other improvements I'd like to see:
  • The ability to more easily select text. In PDFs it can be very hard to do, the selection goes away or you are fighting the selection range all the time.
  • Many apps have an issue with text fields, where you type in a lot of text and it's extremely hard to scroll up. This behavior got worse over time (I suspect the logic behind it has become very complex).
  • when clicking phone numbers for international numbers, it often lacks the country code. This results dialing a non-existing number. It's extremely difficult to prefix the country code. You need to go to Notes and fix the phone number from there by pasting the phone number and adding +1 to it, as an example. Instead, iOS should detect on-click if the number is without country code, and ask which country code to prepend. Ideally it uses context to figure this out (e.g is the website a Dutch one? Or American?) and suggest that country code as the default setting.

An universal swipe back gesture like on Android. Please!
This is very annoying. On some ui there is a back swipe available.
On some ui screens there is an arrow on top of the screen which is not possible to reach one handed on new big iPhones.

I'm not sure if its more an indictment on Apple, the users or mobile OSes in general that the wishlist is essentially bug fixes! Not that they're not needed of course...

Idea:
App icons are so 2007.
We have Apple AI now.
Basically we only need a permanent AI home screen.
Tell or write or AI suggests what you want, AI does it including choosing the right app.

When i‘m commuting by bus there are variable navigation, communication and media apps as app prediction visible incl. AI commandline.
At work show only work-Apps and communication options.
And so on.
No stupid app grid anymore.

Passwords app - when using the browser extension, allow me to leave it unlocked (like Bitwarden does) instead of having to use touchID or a password EVERY TIME I use it!
Home screen density - I would like to be able to choose 5 columns of icons instead of the current 4.
No app names - allow to choose whether we want app names to show without having the icons be oversized.

Exactly. My girlfriend is more and more opening up to the idea of switching to an iPhone in a year or so after being let down by OnePlus and not reeeaaally feeling Nothing, but she can for the life of her not not have a universal swipe gesture that works in every app and with either and only ever ONE hand. Going back on her 2019 phone is so much more easy than on my 2023 Pro iPhone, which is laughably stupid.

Here's a weird, fun idea: Boot Camp for iOS. Make it dual boot Android. Now all the EU demands are dead in the water.
Actually, that’s not the worst idea to be very honest. My only concern would be that the EU then demands that iOS can also be run on Andoid phones. But their reach has to stop at some point I hope. I like many things they demand, but by far not all of them (concerning Apple). But yeah this is actually a very interesting solution.

Useful Siri. Complete redesign. New icon designs. Don’t just create squircles and call it day.

Also… you know damn well Apple employees are scouring this thread.
