In 2 days, it'll be 10 years since I joined here.

Were the ten years since then nice to you? Were you expecting what you got in the following ten years?

Nevertheless, do enjoy it, and let me know how you find it to write on.

Wrote on a page using Paper Mate's felt tip pens (black, blue, red) , Sharpie pen (black, red), and a BIC 4 color pen. I am happy to say that the ink is barely visible on the other side of the page. Obviously the black ink from the black felt pen is the most visible. I certainly can't say how it would hold using a fountain pen, but I can call the purchase a success for my needs. I am certainly going to order more, maybe even from the House of Lords just to make sure that I know how much of a nerd I am.

Still no clear answer why yawning is contagious. My mother and i always yawn one after another even on the phone, what triggers the brain to yawn if you see or hear other person yawning?

https://www.lifehack.org/570522/myth-busted-why-yawning-contagious
From the article:
It’s a myth that we yawn to compete with others to breathe in more oxygen is a myth.

So you think you know why this happens:

I’m tired and my brain needs oxygen! There are so many people, there must not be enough oxygen for everyone in the room. And when someone yawn, they breathe in the limited oxygen in the room, so it’s my reflex to take more oxygen back by yawning…
I think someone needs to hire a proofreader.

What about when you talk with someone on the phone? It happens every time specially with my mother. I read the article but........

Think I wanna buy a defective AirPod case and a Zippo lighter…

All out of those here today. But... I have a defective tie-clip gen Shuffle I could sell you a share in, in case it ever turns up. Its double defect is that it's MIA now for at least three years and of course always lacked that later-invented saving grace from Apple known as "Find My...."

What if the zippo is defective and the AirPod case is perfect ?
Ooooh, that might be better. Then put the case in the Zippo, and people think I'm a cool smoker person instead of somebody who constantly wears AirPods.

That would lead to quite the synthesis—a Zippo shuffle.

EDIT: It's going to be a tight fit, but I've got a Dremel and an art degree, so who better to make this than I? Seems like I'll have some wiggle room with the rayon balls to get the height down a smidge.

On my mind: what a mood-changer it is to have the electrical power go out.... and eventually return, but not until after we all round up our crank radios and flashlights.

Well at least this one was only four hours. What I am I saying. The prior one was 2 hours and it was only recently (and right after I said we've hardly had any outages this summer... heh).

Also on my mind: Electric utility is currently in the "public comment" phase of a pending 20% rate hike request to Public Service Commission. LOL seriously, the timing!? They say it's mostly needed for "vegetation management". Starting to wonder now if that's really just about cutting down trees near the power lines, or they are finally getting serious about who runs their shop. :p

Why does our ISP decide to do major work on a weekend, during the daytime and not early in the morning past 2 AM?

 You probably don't want to know. Maybe something ugly came to their attention that needed doing weeks ago? Better late than never, aka never look a gift horse in the mouth. :p

They do "maintenance" every weekend. Sometimes during the week. I presume they mean some crackhead cut fiber cables thinking it was copper. It's enough to cause service disruption in a 100-130 mi. radius.

Ugh. And I thought we had it bad still relying on copper wire POTS and DSL running above ground on poles all over the place -- just waiting to get taken out by vehicles, tree limbs, or whole trees tipped out of ground after torrential rains.

I have a few POTS lines into the house. Only one is above ground. Service gets knocked out for a few hours every other year it seems and a tech fixes it within a few hours or the next day if it's too late to roll a truck out. The logistics of redoing everything underground is very expensive. It's easier in a planned out city. Most communities made or developed after the 1950s here have buried setups.

Why not throw a which way does the woman spin thread in there, too? The drama caused would be... catastrophic.

It would be worse than that maths question.

A house we made an offer on yesterday. Mrs AFB is showing me all the jobs that will need doing to it.
The key is that you can see, and because you can see, you can negotiate possible a good deal, if you don’t mind sweat equity. If you talk to the average realtor, they want your house perfect when it is on the market because there are so many out there who can’t see or don’t want to bother having to fix anything. Wallpaper is a great example. At least in Minnesota, if the realtor gets their way, all of the wallpaper must go! :)
