B&N Criterion sale is on (50% off for every Criterion title).
I bought,
1984, directed Michael Radford
Grand Hotel Budapest, directed by Wes Anderson
Indagine su un Cittadino al di Sopra di Ogni Sospetto (Investigation on a citizen above suspicion) directed by Elio Petri, soundtrack by Morricone, and a movie I will enjoy in its original language.

On my mind: how I guess there's now a lot of stuff I could probably post about in the "What are you trying to keep yourself from purchasing" thread. Thanks a lot.;)

How nice my weather is this evening. I’m home from a 2 hour random drive all around my county.

Good weather, comfortable car, minimal traffic and good music made for an enjoyable trip.

Did you just cruise around? Awesome. I've done that plenty of times, especially if the weather is right, top down, stars visible, A1A without any man made lighting ...

And in the current situation, it's complete freedom, go where you want, no restrictions, no personal requirements, just road

Neighbor of ours has offered to propagate some cuttings from their various raspberry and other berry bushes. Quite excited. I've grown from seed and we get plenty of fruit but it's always nice to have more variety. Also the fact it costs next to nothing compared to paying $3-5 for a small box to a pound of it.

There's maybe 40-50 lb of frozen berries, discounting strawberries in the chest freezer. Quite sick of having smoothies daily at this point. And before anyone recommends it, already made multiple clafoutis, sauces, BBQ and chili sauce, eaten fresh, jams and preserves, etc.

Not as bad as when I was growing 10 papaya trees because I overestimated how much we'd consume that damn stuff.

Joking aside, I long ago got the feeling you're running your own thing where you are now and not working for someone else. Do you not want to retire because you're afraid of your hard work going up in smoke because the person you sold it to or handed it to messed up? Or do you not see a purpose in retiring?

I can't see myself retiring because of the above reasons, also enjoy having control over things and also my home improvement projects can be a bit too much.
I can’t see myself retiring because the economy is not helping my pension grow.
Also at what point do you think you have enough money to retire?

Yup, just crusin’ around at my own pace.

I tend to do that more on the weekends and during the day, but I felt like an evening ride tonight. :)

Dropped my phone for the first time in a very, very long while yesterday. If I felt like laughing about it right now, I probably would at the fact that I was on my way to a friends place to pick up a couple of, you guessed it, phone cases among other things. Interesting to see how much this will set me back.

The thing that has me smiling ear to ear at the moment, though, is that work is finally happening again, starting in about a month. Sure it'll take a a while before it's back to normal, but every little bit of extra cash is a great thing at the moment.

It bothers me as it detracts from what this forum is really about: me complaining about a package.

Thinking about my dog, Nikki, that I put down last week. Also wondering why my psychiatrist decided to deny my refill request for my prescriptions. Moving soon, so packing, cleaning and organizing is on top of the "to-do" list. Curious why I decided to use a TV as a monitor for my Mac mini now instead of when I bought it...

So sorry to hear about your dog.

Years ago I got concerned my shrink was increasing my happy pills for no obvious reason. Since I felt that they were having an overall negative effect on me I up and quit both the pills and my shrink.

I looked her up again a couple of weeks ago as we were going through old papers, and it turned out she was eventually disciplined and suspended for over prescribing!

Guess it all worked out for me as I eventually went on some totally different, generic, low grade pills that no longer make me feel like a zombie (but cost me over $100 a month) but just take the edge off the worst life throws at me (that I pay just $4 a month for).
