I've noticed that,https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...al-world.2246333/?post=28684734#post-28684734 too..... Nine different threads all asking questions which seem to be rather personal.... Why join a primarily tech - focused forum and only participate in the Community Discussion subforum?
I avoid those kinds of questions here and elsewhere, seems like it's data mining.

Speaking of which, thwarted a would be phish call on Thursday (from Robospam: the "Electric Company" claiming they overcharged us and if we could hand over our in-" Me: CLICK." I hung up the phone so fast.

They tried calling on my line too that day which was truly annoying.

Mom and I are okay considering.

She earned a new nickname today: Cookie Monster. A health food company makes these fantastic not-too-sweet almond flour chocolate chip cookies. Whole Foods thankfully stocks them, and sells for a $1 cheaper a bag than the actual company. Mom will ask at least once a day for a "cookie." So I am now the Cookie pusher and she's the Cookie Monster. I try to make sure we get healthy food in and enough greens/fruit, but we've been eating more protein and processed stuff during these four months. It's good to find something she enjoys that isn't horrifically engineered lab "food".

Am letting go of my anger faster (especially about this job). Realize the stress over work is very harmful physically and I need to dial way back, and just let things be. Thankfully, I am drawing more regularly again.

Special thanks to @AngerDanger for making me laugh very, very hard at his color sampling explosion gif in the possible Color picker feature in Apple Pencil article currently on the front page. Also, thanks for saving that bird. :)

Anyway I hope you are all well.

I am keeping an eye on this member's threads, but am not responding to any of them; he or she does not need to know any of my personal business, and of course the big question is, why would this person, a total stranger, even be interested in the first place? As has already been mentioned here, data mining seems like the most logical answer.....

I'm glad you got a laugh out of it. If you're in need of further distraction, see if you can spot the Dan I hid in MR's latest YouTube thumbnail. :) I think I've hidden enough Easter eggs in graphics to start MacRumors I Spy.

I'm also sorry for the original crass reply I'd made to @yaxomoxay; I needed a placeholder for the GIF I thought of.

Yeah, just did a search, and it's clearly something wonky. Note the last result has the same "when i was about 18 i slept in the woods one night , never again." message as the thread posted here.

More than anything, I want to know what on earth this is helping marketers with. "See, I told you we should be targeting people who… do things… they didn't think they'd do… uh, as children!"

We get the Cicadas again next year. Can’t...wait.
Here’s a little preview from our photography section if you can’t wait that long!
Yeah, it’s really not that bad. I’ve found that by shooting JPG, the camera cleans up noise pretty well at higher-ISO. You will lose some sharpness, but it’s actually not too bad. I’ve taken many shots at 3200 or better and the sharpness is still pretty good. My cicada series in last month’s POTD thread was all ISO 3200:

Pondering my life choices: got myself wrapped nicely around the axle dealing with RabbitMq trying to bridge 2 message brokers together...

I’ll be happy when it’s working, but still...

I have a few response techniques, one I use is to start screaming at the top of my lungs, LUCIFER IS COMING! ALL HAIL THE DARK LORD!

... they usually hang up on me :)

Have you ever listened to Tom Mabe's wonderful response to a telemarketing phone call?

Absolutely superb.
I have, it is brilliant.

A bit frustrated looking for comet Neowise last evening. Then again trying to find it with the light of the city and sitting right next to the Jet d'eau (famous Geneva fountain) with the lights of terraces and the fountain itself blocking the exact line of sight. Might be better to head out of the city proper, maybe up in the Jura mountains?

Did anyone in England see the flying ant swarms? I thought I was back in Africa where the swarms (locust) are causing havoc this year.
No, I think they were a bit further east. (Eastern Kent etc). Every year there's a day or two when all the flying ants take to the wing at once. It only seems to last for a day or so but this lot was even picked up on radar etc. Are you in the UK? Did you see this swarm?

I keep thinking about having a look but can't seem to stay up or get up early enough. Jupiter and Saturn are spectacular at the moment though... Well worth a look through a telescope or even bino's.

It seems like the builder for our next little renovation/addition is nearly done with his current project (for my SIL as it happens), so I'm that much closer to having an actual shed/workshop. It'll be nice to finally have a properly weatherproof space (as opposed to being crammed into a semi-protected corner under a roof with two sides open to the elements) to store tools and have a decent workbench etc.

It's only (going to be) a 4.5x4m (~13x15 ft) 'box' stuck to one side of the house, but I'm pretty sure we (wifey and I) have already discussed it and planned more details than MIL did on her entire house when she built it (not even joking).

We used to refer to my brother (Decent Brother on these threads) as the Cookie Monster when he was a child, as he loved cookies so much, & Sesame Street - a superb example of public service broadcasting, had just made an appearance on our screens.

Curiouser and curiouser… the OP of those serialized threads appears to check on them often, but still doesn't comment.

Might not even be a person checking, that same status could show from an automated script.

Hahaha, I think I'll post SEALY, SERTA, SLEEP NUMBER and then see if I get inundated with mattress ads ... :p

I want to respond with an unsanitized string (that doesn't affect Xenforo).
