On my mind: "food, glorious food..." for Blue Jays and assorted of their pals this winter. This piece just completely justified my having left a little patch of goldenrod undealt with last fall out back, not to mention the brushpile out in the corner of the stone walls, and the leaves that blow in underneath the spruce tree. Probably gonna repeat the laidback approach this year too, now that my brain seized upon a rationalization.

A manicured lawn might look nice, but messy is better for birds and bugs.

Had to pop to the post office earlier. As I stopped outside to put my (mandatory) face mask on, an old lady barged past me.
She had no face mask on. The two teenagers in there were also not wearing masks (well one had one on her chin).
I do wonder sometimes.

Rather perturbed by an article about this grossly obese, a real porker from the sound of it, guy whose only motivation for finally getting around to losing weight was so that he could ride on some stupid rollercoaster..... What is the matter with people?! His health isn't important, but being able to ride a rollercoaster is??!!!

In the dark of my room, laying in bed, I am watching American tv channels stream live in smooth as butter FPS and wirelessly halfway across planet earth to my HD full color 4.7 inch screen cellphone.
Modern technology is truly amazing and we are privileged, but we just don’t appreciate it enough. About 2 decades ago this would be considered StarTrek technology.

Too much information! Glad this isn’t a picture tgread

But I can relate! Since loosing a quarter of my weight some years back, I just don’t have the capacity I used to. But every now and then I sort of forget.

Very warm and humid here. It’s 5:40 am and already the temperature is creeping up.

Quarantine with my girls is just a never ending cycle of food and poops. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. Age 9 and 5. They are just eating and pooping machines and when they are not doing that I am washing dishes and playing with them. I arrived here in Philippines from the UK on March 11 for a 3 week vacation to see my girls and almost 5 months later I am still here. Man the days have gone by so fast but I have enjoyed every minute. Think I will be here until November then I really need to get back to the UK and work. A small part of me wants to see the year out here though as Christmas will be so close. Not sure how much more of me my estranged wife will be able to bear though haha

I wish we never had COVID-19 I truly do but is has allowed me way more time with my girls than I ever expected.

You will always have work. However your kids will be grown before you know it. Enjoy as much time with them as you can afford.
I wish I’d spent longer with my daughter when she was young.

Toilet paper, paper towels and hand sanitizer all in good supply now at my local grocery store. Cleaning products, not so much so....spray disinfectant cleaners, nowhere to be found yet. Kleenex seems to be available with lots on the shelves one week and then only a few boxes another week.

I have a small bottle of hand sanitizer that I stick in my pocket when going out-and-about, and then at home larger bottles at the sinks along with hand soap.

I was in London for a few days being wined and dined by several friends who wanted me to take a job for 6 months in the Middle East. The offer was nice but I don't do long-term jobs anymore and convinced them to look at two people I recommended to them. It was good to see their security business is doing well especially in this time of uncertainty.
