Often wearing shorts, I walk into the grocery frequently carrying my wallet and phone in my hand because I don’t want to load my pockets up. But about 6 months ago I set my phone down on the top part of a shopping cart and then left it in the parking lot with the phone in it. I was very lucky that someone handed it in to the grocery store’s lost and found.

A case for Apple Watch and Apple Pay. Love its convenience.

So now you resemble a librarian? 👩🏼‍🏫

I think that I have always looked like a librarian: As a kid, in bookshops, I was that kid wearing glasses, sitting cross-legged quietly on the floor, reading books, lost in books, - and left alone by indulgent adults - whereas my brothers would have been kicked out (most unfairly) from the same stores just for showing their faces across the threshold.

And my favourite history professor - whom I admired and sought to emulate as a teacher - at the university always wore lanyards; they say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Have proper internet again today after not having it for a month. Was fine.

Also replaced my iPhone 8 with the 2016 SE like I said I was just in time for iOS 14. Only wish I could find a clear case like a Scarf or SwitchEasy as I'm not a huge fan of the Spigen I have now. Caseology doesn't have something like the Parallax I had for my 8 for it either. Still, like having a small phone again.

Tough decisions…

I actually switched over from cable to fiber because recently (or so I’m telling myself lol) this became available in my area. 6 dollars more and I went from 8 to 1000. Always check! Can’t believe I was on slow speed for so long.

I already had eero so we declined their “rent one from us for x extra”

Had a tough convo today and decided to side step management for sales. Just ultimately makes sense for me even if there are no sales opening for me, only management atm.

Game seven tonight... game 2 rn but I’ll catch replay later. Back to CE online via Kaplan.

On other news. Market is up. Made some decent pick up even though market is all high (and no not Tesla, already own that and not apple, I had them and sold them and now they’re on a limit order and the price hasn’t dropped that low yet).

And those pick up made a little today, and one a few weeks ago made a pick up today too thanks to MJ.

Oh yeah, this new thing is fiber now and totally makes a difference from cable. First thing I did was download a macOS update and a few bootlegs in FLAC. Seeing 5 GB of stuff download that fast is so nice. Can't even move around files on hard drives that nicely over USB 3.0.

The trees are turning here. Many are still holding their own but several have started showing some fierce splashes of yellow, orange, and blood red. The saddest part is coming when it all fades to dull grays and browns. I love summer. This year it fell on a Tuesday.

re the bold I stuck on that last bit of your post : I felt like that early in the season, but we got lucky w/ summery weather in the Catskills later on, once Ma Nature finally found that heat-wave button. Only weird thing was the thrice-repeated clash of strong fronts with us in the middle, resulting in much of central NY landing in tornado-watch zones for hours on end... and a few tornadoes farther east of us.

But now, and typically, we too have been seeing flashes of autumn color in the hills, and even colored leaves starting to drift out of the older hedgerow maples onto our lawns. I'm not ready to give up the late-blooming summer, so hope the still nice weather goes on well into October. Nights are gettin' chilly though, can't always leave the windows open any more.

Random thought on my mind today....there are two bands I really wish I would've seen live: AC/DC and Oasis.

The sad part is that both toured in my area when I was old enough to 1) afford the ticket and 2) get myself to & from a show, but for whatever reason I just never did. I don't have many regrets in life, but these are two of 'em.

Across the lake from me there is one big tree that every year always seems to be the first one to start changing, and the other day I noticed that indeed there are a few red leaves on it already, in spite of the very hot weather we've had throughout July and August. It's still pretty warm here now, but thankfully no longer in the 90+ degree range, just hot and muggy enough to feel like it is!

I am hoping for some nice, pleasant "Indian summer" days so that it'll be a good time to go to the local botanical gardens and one or two other places to do some shooting; much of the summer it has just been much too hot to do that and I'm itching to get out there again, see some different scenery besides my own neighborhood!

Well, a couple of things, saw a cat in a local shopping mall just on the escalator - well I guess it had climbed up the narrow metal bit next to the handrail. Nonchalantly walked behind a phone repair stall heading to a shop called "Cats and Dogs" (yes in English) and she/he had a collar. Didn't have the prescence of mind to snap a photo as it was unusual.

Then as I walked out through a playground with kids on break including some playing hide and seek. I smiled as I passed a building column with a young girl hiding behind and automatically smiled as I past. Not at her just at the fun they were having. Then I thought to myself how dumb that was on my part that it was a give away - but then realised I had my back turned to the kid counting down.

Lastly and least - why do I still find iPhone cases for nearly every model in the shops going back to the 5/5S/SE but not the 7 and 8 Plus? Were they that unpopular? I saw quite a few in the wild and still have a 7 plus. Ah well as I said least important.

Yes! When the glasses are slowly removed and the slow head shake to release the hair from the bun. OK, time for a cold beer...
For some reason, the librarian from the episode of Seinfeld spring immediately to mind. She didn't wear glasses & had short hair, but that's the image I see, crossed maybe with Jerry's girlfriend & Kramer's crush, Pam.

Tuesday morning or Tuesday afternoon?

I hope so too. I have a week off soon!
