My original Obgyn did the surgeries but he now says he has no idea why I'm in so much pain. He basically disregarded me. So I see a new one tomorrow. It feels like my former was really happy to do surgeries but doesn't care the outcome at all.

I think my worry about the government handling all the payments is if all these doctors, clinics, pharmaceutical companies, etc won't want to lower rates the government will either pay the exorbitant prices or we'll lose certain options. Medicaid/Medicare is not accepted everywhere right now. Private insurance has the highest rate of acceptance in all facets.

The surgeon didn’t use surgical mesh in your operation did they? There is a long campaign to get it banned and it causes awful pain in patients but is still being used in some countries.

A laugh, I am going into day three of a three day liver cleanse eating apples and apple sauce along with drinking water; at the end of day three you drink a third of a cup of extra virgin olive oil which flushes the gall bladder.

Anyway, mom says “I am so proud of you, everyone else would have quit the apple by now.”

I replied, “Mom, I tried to quit Apple for three years and after so many dud Windows PCs realized I will not do that.”

She laughed, “I meant the Apple cleanse...”

Yeah, I KNEW that... 🥳

I‘ve been busy, so I hope everyone here is okay.

@Septembersrain hope you‘re doing better.

Wishing everyone a nice Wednesday evening (or Thursday morning)

Yeah, 2016 onwards have actually been some of the nicest years I've had and 2020 has been OK for the most part. I have read that some people feel bad that they would even consider saying that, but honestly, is people's problems with how the world is right now worth hiding that? You can have concern for things and still be happy for yourself.

But yeah, stay safe people.

Indeed. No one I know has died of Covid. The only confirmed cases I know are from work colleagues.
The self isolation staying at home aspect is pretty much how I live all the time anyway. So very little affect on my day to day life.

While nobody I know has actually died from Covid, some of my relatives and friends have suffered bereavements (not from Covid) and have had to endure those tragic and trying (limited, or controlled), hospital, or hospice, visits, and those cruelly truncated funerals.

My German sister-in-law missed her father's death (and memorial service) earlier this year.

Yes I can imagine that must be both traumatic and frustrating.

On my mind. When I go for a walk without my camera, I see plenty I’d take photos of.
When I take, nothing!

Fortunately, she had been able to travel over and back to Germany several times between late December and late February to see him; however, he died in early March, (early dementia and other conditions, not Covid, thankfully), and that was when travel restrictions kicked in, and she was unable to attend the memorial service.

She herself has had health complications - she had a hysterectomy, around six weeks ago and will be on sick leave for a while - and thus, she hasn't been able to travel to Germany to see her elderly mum.

As some of you know I'm originally from Oregon, one fire has my particular attention, it is in the Glide, Oregon area. There are numerous friends and acquaintances in that area, all have been evacuated. Some have already lost their homes. My daughter just sent me these two photos of the smoke and debris coming into my hometown from that fire. The second is one of her plants with some of the debris landing throughout the area. Glide is a short distance from my hometown.

Looks like the City where I work is going to go into lockdown again. Fine by me. I don’t use the shops, pubs and restaurants anyway. Not so great if that’s where you work though.

Just as people were beginning to work at their offices! Back to working from home full-time, then?
Well you’d think. But you can still go to work! I don’t think our boss is keen on that.

Also a guy has been murdered about 5 minutes from where the warehouse office is. I decided to skip my lunchtime walk.

Easy. I was at work. Plus as I’m always at work, easy to prove!

Just the facts. ma'am. Just the facts.

I will need to corroborate your version of the story; not that we don't believe you, but please place this black hood on your head; we'll guide you to a plane that will fly you to a free vacation trip in the southern region of Cuba.

Stay safe all those affected by the fires. Property can be replaced. People can’t.

Well said.

I'll echo this: Stay safe everyone who has been affected by the fires; property can be replaced, people can't.

And as for you, @Apple fanboy: Stay safe, too.
