Spending this week doing my home office up. I’m at the point where I’m wondering if it is all worth the while? The mess, the effort! I keep having to tell myself it’ll be worth it in the end.

I’m having some laminate flooring fitted tomorrow and then want to paint the walls (I know, should of painted the wall first). Not sure what colour to paint them and am looking for inspiration? Any ideas?

So far thinking dark green or dark red?

Great project! I’m doing a home office conversion too but mine is half of my garage. I took the roller shutter door off and have put a window in. Just doing the electrics, insulation and walls now but quite a way off being finished.

Dark green is a nice colour as a feature wall I would say. My lounge has that colour.

Quite the adventure. Having recently moved to a village I can sort of see both points of view. But a public right of way is a public right of way. Locking it is an offence.
Couldn’t they have climbed over?

That nonsense still going on? Good grief, I remember that being an issue long before I left the shores of brightly. Never understood how “public right of way” was such a confusing statement...

I just try to stay busy, keep my mind occupied. I'm pretty devastated my health insurance won't cover 80% of my recent visit. I was out of network. They didn't deem the care to be necessary. "Sorry you were unconscious, but you should have just died or gone to in network!".

Way way back in the late 1990s when I’d only been living in the states for about 3 months, I got whisked first to the local emergency room then to a hospital that specialized in heart problems after I collapsed and stopped breathing.

A month later, a now healthy me got a bill from the medical transportation company that had moved my totally unconscious carcass between the two facilities. Being out of network they hit me with $45 for the transfer and $450 for the call out.

Being the Brit I am (and also then unaware of the power these companies yielded, or really grasping the difference between in- and out-of network providers) I called them and told them they could suck their cost because “I had health insurance and it should pay for it”.

Naturally they took great umbrage at my apparent demeanor and unwillingness at paying this “insignificant life saving bill”, at which point I quite literally told them to kiss my posterior and to sue me.

I never did hear back from them again. Guess I got real lucky.

Fun fact: this was on my first date with a gal who’s now my wife 😍

Some date!

Back (well neck mostly) isn’t too bad. I have my first chiropractor appointment in about 6 weeks Monday. Looking forward to it.

Mother okay I trust? Hope you have some nice plans for the weekend.
Glad to hear you will be getting help and your neck isn’t too bad.

Mom is about the same (Some days the pain is less than others). Weekend nothing, yet.

Nah, he just didn’t sleep on it.;)

Weekend: hopefully some sleep, drawing and chores.
Sounds good. Enjoy. Friday to get through first though. Actually going into the office tomorrow. Means I’ll have to get up earlier
Especially if I’m to keep my complete the circles thing going. Day 6 or 7 I think tomorrow.

For runners Sunday is a big day, the London Marathon takes place, but we can not physically participate this year, we will be able to do it in our location and submit our results. I will run a 6-mile loop crewed by my neighbors.
