Your life, your choice. My life, my choice.

Seems like there’s people who are going out and living normal first thing being haircuts, restaurants, etc

And others who are still inside.

Free country for both people

You keep dodging the question everyone is asking you. Which state are you living in that is returning to normal in your opinion. All of us in those silly other 49 states want to know.

For those who got their haircut, how “safe” did it feel?

We’re they wearing masks?

I might just call and ask what safety measure different salons are taking then go to the most reasonable one.

Or try myself, although I’m worried it won’t look right and it HAS to look right for the ladies lol :)

Im in my mid 20's and not much of a club goer but I strangely find myself missing that atmosphere. I'll be going downtown and partying with some old friends. However, it may be awhile before the clubs open.

Walk around Best Buy, and buy nothing. Seriously I love going to BB and just looking at things like TV's, PC's and Apple gear, I rarely buy anything but its my go to get out of the house and hang out for an hour.

Nice! Yeah we’re more into the bars but some of the bars we frequent have clubs attached.

So glad things are looking more normal again.

Young people need their friends! And girlfriend lol

Dude you’re not alone. I’ve found myself doing that in the past.

When iPhone X came out I was on the fence but would go play with it at Best Buy.

Bought one eventually lol

btw, I also do that a lot at the Apple store if I have an extra minute.

I'm always open to getting new Apple products I don't already own and nothing beats seeing them in person

I recently went to the Apple store to buy a 27" 5K iMac, but after finding out it didn't have true tone (which really helps me at night), I felt super bummed until I saw the LG Ultrafine 4K and 5K monitors they have. They didn't have it on display but I saw it somewhere...maybe on the iMac when I was browsing or something

None the less, I walked out with a LG Ultrafine 4K one, 24" and I couldn't be happier. In hindsight I wonder if they 27" would have been better, but I sit really close to my monitor, and my 24" monitor feels huge. I don't think I'd like the 27"

But yea I don't know how I lived without it for so long. Wish I had bought it sooner

One of my favorite "Apple" products by far

You totally missed his point - while your state may lift some restrictions, that in no way correlates to having an actual handle on things, proper testing in place, enough PPE, and as such, this might just wind up causing another major surge.

So some of us are going to wait a little longer before we run to "da club" ...
The only surefire way to avoid getting this virus is to atay home until we get a vaccine in 1-2 years.

I’m not staying home for two years, nor am I going clubbing. But I’m legit going insane doing nothing!

Went to the restaurant yesterday. Somewhat surreal, but still pleasant. Tables were spaced quite afar, paper menus, all waiters with masks and gloves, table and chairs disinfected right before we sat down (in front of us).
Had a nice, all-American double cheeseburger w/ fries. and a soda.

The first thing I am going to do is continue keeping a social distance to everybody out of my household. It’s not over by a long shot even if governments relax restrictions. We’ve got at least another 12 months of this.

Absolutely. Social distancing and masks will be key.
(I think we will have way more than 12 months of this, my bet is that this thing will be like the flu... coming back in different forms every year)

If someone knows they have a condition that makes them vulnerable then they should take extra precautions.

People who have conditions that make them vulnerable still need to do things like go outside and buy food.

If idiots who aren't more vulnerable due to pre-existing conditions are going out and spreading the disease everywhere, they won't be able to do that without getting infected and dying. The aim is to minimise the number who get it, "herd immunity" (which requires ~70 percent of the population to become immune) like some keep talking about is totally unrealistic. With even a 5% fatality rate, you're talking roughly 10 million dead.

Also - nobody knows the long term effects of this virus yet; it may cause permanent organ damage (not just lungs, some people are seeing other effects). Nobody knows if you even build long term immunity.

Plus - you may not be as bulletproof as you think. It looks like genetics may be a factor. Various young/healthy people have become extremely sick and some have died.

Really??? That the answer of someone making things up I think. You post crazy stuff all the time about to quote you "the Ladies" and how Freeze Dried Folgers is a great coffee, but after telling us how awesome your governor is and how your state is all ready to beat Corona, you are scared to tell us which state that is? Is it Ca where you want buy a $3M house in LA, NY where you work on Wall Street or Nevada since we know you went Las Vegas for your 21st birthday, or a fourth state where you are working on your masters currently, how the grades going?

Why are y'all bothering to leave comments to the OP's post? He clearly wants to live his life and live a normal life doing normal things.

I sincerely hope you live your God-given free life in a free country doing normal things as long as your governor tells you so it's safe. Am I right?

With the exception of trusting the politicians instead of the scientists, absolutely right.

My plan is to head out for a 20km run in the morning followed by a well deserved pint at the local.

Just not the same doing the one without the other.

Err, because this is a public forum and he asked a question? It's kinda the point of these things, you know...
OP sounds like he wouldn't listen to any of ours' advices and is determined to live a regular life despite the virus outrage.

But folks here keep telling him why it's not a wise movement yet he won't listen. I can't see where this argument is headed to. Some people will never listen you know.

BTW I live in Korea and the society has been functioning as normal as it can be. I send my best wishes to fellow Americans. Stay tight, y'all can get through this.

So it's okay if idiots who are vulnerable go out to get food but idiots like me shouldn't. Makes perfect sense 😂

Not over until good treatments exist and hopefully a vaccine is developed. Think 4 or 5 years for something like normality to return. Here in the UK we are still heavily restricted though about 25% of the population seem to be breaking the rules.

Tell me about it. Had to go to work yesterday and the roads were much busier than a few weeks ago.
