Yet another MP flying out of Shenzhen this morning here. Now delivery says the 24th...I was really liking getting it this Fri. Who knows, the iPod took from Tue to Thurs to get here, I'm hoping things are similarly fast for this.

FYI, for those overly excited, odds are all of our boxen are on this plane here, it's the only FedEx flight out of Shenzhen today. It's landing in Anchorage:

That's actually pretty funny. Especially the little graphic with the arrow. :D

Why did it go from 23/26 to shipped 17/24. Went from 3 day ship to 7?

Weekend?

I ordered mine the first day, 12-core 2.93 5870. It shipped and once it shipped, the app and FedEx both said it would be delivered Thursday, however the Apple email said it would be delivered Friday. I checked again and now the app has changed to say that it will be delivered Friday :/

Prepared for Shipment! :D

I am please to be joining the party, If it got here buy monday. I would be happy with that..... going to the cricket on thursday but don't think there is any worry of it getting here by then, hahaha

First BTO shipment landing in Anchorage Alaska NOW

1330 hrs PST; Jet with our Mac Pros is preparing to land in Anchorage, Alaska.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Pah, look at all these US folks obsessively checking flights...

*ahem*

The TNT flight likely to be carrying the European orders would be scheduled to leave at 11:30am local time (Hong Kong), arriving 6pm tomorrow local time (Liege).

If they clear customs they could be overnighted for delivery on Thursday. Friday may be more likely, if not Monday (which is the outside estimate on my order).

Today

ordered BTO and in Australia shipment is through TNT. As of 3.56am this morning it was in Hong Kong transit point. 9 hour flight from Hong Kong to Melbourne, so I am being hopeful and expecting Friday (even planning to work from home that day!!). Given that I am closer to Hong Kong than Europe and US I am expecting to be one of the first to get it (ordered the morning they were released).

And to all those people moaning and whining about how expensive these boxes are cause you can build a PC for $2,000 go do that and join a PC forum...

And to all those people doing the same about the form design, go buy your ugly PC...

I'm still running a 6 year old 2.7 G5 which is great expect it won't run 10.6, Aperture 3 (yes I use Aperture) and CS5 - hence the upgrade... Still, I just know this machine is going to knock my socks off!!

Not sure if it's trackable until it's in the air - which it isn't. It should have taken off a while back, but it seems like it's delayed by quite a bit. Could be another hour at least.

I think we're looking for flight 3v48

edit: Actually, looks like it took off about 90m late, and is now in the air but isn't tracking.

Hooray. Status changed to "Prepared for shipment". Ordered the 9th in the Netherlands.

Estimated shipping date is still the 25th though, but it would be very strange if that's actually true.

UK delivery soon?

Overnight change for UK order...

Ordered on: 9th Aug (3.33ghz 6-core)
Estimated shipping: Mon 23rd Aug
Estimated delivery: Wed 1st Sep

Since yesterday, the 'cancel items' option has disappeared.

Deliver taking 7 working days, but the UK public holiday on Monday 30th probably doesn't help.

This means it is about to ship. It will probably ship today or tomorrow at the latest. I am guessing that you ordered something with it (a printer maybe). This is reflected in the long ship estimate as the items have to meet up somewhere before they are collectively shipped on to you. Even allowing for this it will probably ship a bit quicker. I would put money on you having it delivered by Thursday/Friday next week. All good.
