Well letz face it: no new leaks or rumors till now ---> no release on May 15.... :(
Would be so nice to buy a new iMac and Diablo 3 at the same time ^^

I'm guessing we'll see a silent refresh around the 22nd of May just because it's also the earliest shipment date of any of the competitors (Dell, HP) from what I've read. Let's face it guys, their won't be any significant rumors prior to the launch, because no one fu**** cares about the iMac anymore except for us and maybe Apple. ;)

Haha sad but true. In reality any time now till wwdc week. But i would say this next week or following. Silent refresh

Todays window is closed. If it has retina and or if imac will take mac pro place then wwdc makes sense. If no retina why wait more?

What if no macs are announced at wwdc/ available to buy immediately

This is going to be my first iMac and waiting for the new version like many others, keeping my cash in my wallet until the day arrives surely apple must see a dip in new purchases although unlikely to affect their bottom line!

the one thing that has be bummed is the long wait time for macs this year. Why does Apple do things like this

I noticed they are promoting Fathers Day now, remember mothers day, we said nothing until after it passed. Well we were right. what if macs are announced at wwdc but wont ship until after fathers day!

----------

As long as more leaks and rumors and stock/shipping changes then cool

If theres a higher res display there MUST be a solid gpu. Or the whole experience ruined and the wait a failure

----------

Apple should have had wwdc on june 4th week

Any time trimmed off waiting!

What if the apple store goes down only to announce the new MBP or MP? I will be so gutted! I'm guessing there is still a chance for tomorrow as it is the second most popular refresh day.

I think it now looks like WWDC.

I think "retina" looks a possibility and they won't do that silently.

What "retina" will be remains to be seen. I can't see quad resolution on a 27" iMac.

WWDC: "The week we've all been waiting for."

I think there's a reason they chose that tagline.

MBP is their flagship product.. it makes sense for them to show it at WWDC occaisonally. It's been 3 years, it's probably due.

iMac has never been shown at WWDC. I can't fathom that Retina is the feature that makes them show it there. New CEO, new rules?

At this point I'm more or less on the WWDC bandwagon. I'm holding out hope for a release next Tuesday but if it doesn't happen by then it's not happening until June 11th. :(

I was really hoping to be set up by now. Picking up D3 CE today. My 2007 iMac is the minimum spec for it. It's gonna look like 8 bit graphics.

But there's absolutely no reason to spend 2012 $ for 2011 tech, so wait I will.

I think it would make sense of recent rumors are correct and we're about to get retina everything. It would seem to make sense to haul out the entire Mac line and say, "Look, nearly everything we make now has a totally amazing display."

Edit: Retina also seems like a good reason to haul out the iMac at a developer's conference (which, after all, is what WWDC is meant to be, not a product showcase). HiDPI is something that developers will presumably need to code for in order to take full advantage of.

Is too late for a refresh? Cant it happen in the afternoon?

It's far too late, unless they went with a Wednesday release date.

However, I still think the Alienware ship date means something in terms of component availability, and next Tuesday is the better bet.
