Now if there was a vibrator accessorie for the iPhone, I can see people complaining about that extra 60 minutes battery.
I'm on trains all the time and airports and Metros. I always carry a charger. Before I get my on a train I charge up.
If your margin of error is the difference between the two chips, then you're taking a high risk. One late train or flight can take away that margin. So that reasoning is flawed.
In fifteen years of using smartphones I have not run out of battery once.
That's exactly the thing. If you know you will be travelling then be judicious about use, especially if you're already running low.Excellent post. I am similar, but I have run out a couple of times. Learned my lesson. I wouldn't have been saved by the marginal difference between these two chips. Most people are going to consume their battery without worry until it gets near the end... maybe within 25%. Then they start thinking about conserving... some don't even think about it then. So regardless of how good your chips are, you are going to start conserving around the same time and accountability is required.
These benchmarks that are exaggerating battery life differences are not based on normal usage. If someone sits and watches streaming video or plays high end games when they are down to 10% battery life, then they deserve to be stranded somewhere.
There are not too many days you can't plug in for a quick charge these days. I also now carry a small battery pack capable of charging my laptop, or my phone a couple of times, when I'm going on long trips. Since I've got the 6s Plus I've never come anywhere close to needing it, even on long international flights.... most of which have power at the seat.
That's exactly the thing. If you know you will be travelling then be judicious about use, especially if you're already running low.
I blame the schools, no how to use phones properly classes.I blame the parents.
Can I come over, sounds like fun homeDefinitely the parents... I bet they were having wild parties and smoking weed all the time, throwing caution to the wind. That's what leads to the youngsters having no sense of battery conservation.
We must teach these youngsters the perils of battery consumption!
Sorry to hear that.I ended up with the Samsung chip![]()
I ended up with the Samsung chip![]()
Received m iPhone 6s plus yesturday. Perfect screen, no ellow spots no dead Pixels and a TSMC chip. Bought in Germany!
It hasn't faded. You just got used to it. Plus it's only really visible at lower brightness anyway!Got 6s plus swapped last fri and got a tmsc this time. The screen seems brighter on this one. Its a week 37. It has the blemish but seems to have faded since I got it and isn't that bad. I don't notice any difference in the battery.
Is this still a "thing"? I've been rocking my Samsung chipped iPhone 6S Plus... and loving every bit of it - including the incredibly battery life.
Still much ado about nothing, IMO.
I exchange mind for the good chip and couldn't be happier.I dont exchange phones due to the chip kind. And mine is samsung which is noticebly less batter than tmsc i had to return. This is apple's fault mixing two different performance chips to begin with. This is inevitable truth.
Actually im thinking of selling mine. Hate to see this 10% battery loss for my money spent. Not fair. No more exchange game wasting my energy and time.I exchange mind for the good chip and couldn't be happier.
An exchanged mind is something to be happy about. Maybe it help you realize how silly this chip thing is.I exchange mind for the good chip and couldn't be happier.
