maybe they did for the 5, but when the 4 came out, they wouldn't even let people park overnight in the lot.

well, that's good right? that means that the most recent policy has been to let people stay inside.

I am definitely doing KoP, right after the eagles game.

I also called two of my local Targets and set two reservations for the iPhone 5S at two different stores in my area. One guy seemed to know what he was talking about and said they will have them for pick up on the 20th. Another location I called that's a little farther away said they might even have some extras and only two on the reservation list. Really don't know if I should camp out at an Apple store or try the Target option..

Confused?

I was just amazed that you've been able to pick up a couple 5S's every year. :)

At home sitting at my desk ordering online, The moment it goes live at 12 am.

F standing in line all day.

I'm not standing in line to get into a stinky store. I'm just going to use the Apple app.

I'm not even going to order it at 12AM. I'm going to wake up, take a shower, get dressed, eat breakfast, listen to music, drive to work, and buy it online on my lunch break.

Why don't you order right after waking up? The difference might be when you receive the iPhone unless you're in no rush.

Well because I'd rather take a shower and eat oatmeal. But I guess I could be a fighter. Thing is I really don't know what to expect this is all new.

No I wasn't confused, you were the one who sounded confused hehe. :D

Don't believe everything you read.

I'll get up early and head to the AT&T store that's about 5 minutes away, hopefully getting there at about 5 am or so. There are 2 huge Apple stores (that I know of) in the area as well; I'm hoping that they'll siphon off some of the traffic and I can get in and out quickly once doors open.

at&t store minutes from my house opening up at 8 a.m plan on getting there around 7 a.m....hoping the lack of a preorder this yr. doesnt create longer lines from the past years...

I would not trust Target. Several horror stories last year of people promised phones on launch day and didn't get for weeks.

I won't. I already wrestle with the lemmingness of owning an iPhone, I won't stoop to Elite Lemming by standing in line for it.

I'll be waiting in line...just not sure which Apple store yet. I'm in Maryland, outside of DC. One store is in a mall (Montgomery Mall) and the other is on a street (Bethesda Row). Anyone have any experience with either? I think it'll be fun. Yeah, I'm weird. But fortunately I couldn't care less what others think, so I'm good. :p

It will be completely nuts at the stores on Friday. I have queued up in the past from 1am onwards and its not been a problem asi have always been in the first 20 or so in the queue but i have a bad feeling about this year and i think stocks will be low and the queues will be just as long so I am taking no chances and will get to my nearest store by 8pm Thursday evening

My plan is to hit the Apple store at the mall near my office at around 5-6 am. Still want to go in and ask them how past launches have typically gone.

I know, at least from last year's iPad announcement, they had a TON of stock and virtually NO line at 9 AM-ish.....

Hopefully this iPhone release will be similar. It's not a high-traffic mall.

I'll be in line at AT&T COR store in Redmond town centre Washington at 6am ish. If there are over 20 people though I'm leaving. I'm hardcore but not hardcore enough to waste 2-3 hours of my morning for a phone :).

Anyone have any experience with the Apple stores in Orlando? I have a gift card so would prefer to buy from the actual Apple store. I just moved here so I haven't even been in one yet. I work all day Friday and have no way of going until about 7 pm. Do I have any chance at all?

Every year? You mean like last year when you upgraded 3 months after it was released?
