This. This will be my 1st iPhone on launch day. How does online preorder work? Do they only take x #?

I didn't know VM was a subsidiary of Sprint. Let me ask you. If I cancelled my contract with Sprint, I have a Sprint 4S, and went with VM, will my 4S CDMA work with them? Thanks.
 
I will be preordering on the Apple website as long as you can get an unsubsidized GSM online. If not guess going to a Verizon store or something.
 
Directly at the Apple store :) here in S. Florida, the 32GB model should sell at $749, after taxes $801 :) & another year to pay back the credit card.
 
AT&T - on business line and im not authorized but AT&T knows our business well and allows us to act on account.

That's exactly what I'm going to do. Pre-order as soon as it's available to Pre-order. Buying it from a Apple Store is always the best place!

You just get a certain feeling when your unboxing a new phone in the Apple Store!
 
Verizon Pre-Orders?

Has anyone pre-ordered their iPhone 4(s) from Verizon in the past? How quickly did they ship? Did they give the option to add on AppleCare+? Any other issues?

I know in the past, the shipping companies usually hold the phone and deliver it the same day it is available in store. I'm sure you can add applecare since you can with a mac....if not, just don't open it until you go in store and have them add it.

Since you can with a Mac? One can't buy Macs from VZW. I was asking if one can add AppleCare+ via Verizon.

Does anyone have any idea how stock is distributed? Because I am pretty much going to be using a dumb phone starting in August and I want to know which outlet will end up getting me an iPhone the fastest.

EDIT: If last year is any indication then pre-ordering online will be the fastest I assume. Not sure if VZW will take pre-orders online though.

Apple online store. I don't have a bricks & mortar store nearby and I like buying the phones unlocked, then I can use a cheap sim-only tariff from whichever network I choose (and sell on my never-been-locked iPhone 4 without any hassle)
 
I'll be picking mine up from the apple store 2 - 16GB Verizon iPhone... it is easy to identify my product, there is not hassle.. I can go directly to what I want and not have to worry about pop ups, random advertisements and etc. ;)

This is what I plan on doing. I will be buying three of them (one for me, one for wife and one for daughter). Hope they have both black and white available for preorder.
 
I usually go to the Apple store on release day, just to experience the release excitement. I have ordered them from Apple.com in the past, but it seems like there was an issue where they would only ship to your AT&T billing address, and I won't be home during the day to sign for the package.

Not sure if I am going to go to the store on release day this year though, since AT&T isn't giving primary account holders 1Y upgrades any more. I wouldn't hesitate to order it at apple.com, if they would deliver it to work, just like any other Apple product I order...

Only because I am not waiting on 3 + hour lines in the Apple Store like I did for iPhone 4.

AT&T, Best Buy etc all take too long, so with apple.com I get it delivered and no waiting, besides I now take off every year on release day, it is like a Holiday for me now :rolleyes:
 
I'd like to order from Apple.com but I'm not sure I can. I have two lines on an AT&T plan and I want to switch to verizon. Can I sign up for new service and order 2 phones from apple.com or do I have to do that on verizon's website ?
