Well i've been constantly checking if mine was still reserved through the apple store app...it shows all reservations you made on your selected store. I'm just worried that it's gonna eventually just disappear because apple decided to cancel my damn order.

Take screen shots of your reservation with the Apple Store iPhone application as verification that you had a reserved iPhone. When it comes to picking up your reserved iPhone, show Apple the screenshot of the reservation and ask why it was cancelled.

There should've been no pre-orders or reserves, period.
Let the masses line-up and first-come-first-serve. Would've solved a lot of these problems.

People need to understand people's devotion to this product. It's practically my third arm and I was anticipating this product for about 3 or 4 months. If your's was cancelled that's another story and I'm sorry. But people are really looking forward to this product so JUST SHUT THE **** UP.

I agree but have a different twist......

I WANNA TAKE A TRIP !

I would like to have FaseTime phone sex with my 9 (it's complicated) or ten girlfriends while in Brazil

This is not working for me:mad:

Edit: Oh and it's just NOT a cell phone.

And some people really need to get a life...

That is actually a great idea. I'm going to do that right now:D

The thing I don't understand, if you agreed to the term and conditions when you placed your order and Apple confirmed this in your Order Acknowledgment email, why would ATT send you another email stating that you only had 72 hours to agree to the terms that you already agreed to.

To the people making fun of those who want the new iPhone right away, I present you with 3 logical reasons:

• The price is not going to change for a long time, so you're getting the best value by buying it now

• If you wait a month or longer to get the new phone, then your eligibility for the next phone could be delayed

• It's fun to have new stuff

I also don't see the rationale for waiting, unless you're afraid of manufacturing issues and recalls. You're not saving money. Is it just so you can feel superior in your ability (read: illogical choice) to wait? In principle it should've been extremely simple to go to Apple's site and pre-order a phone that would arrive on launch day. People are understandably annoyed by all the problems.

Are they trying to find a loophole to get out of orders they can't fullfill?

I was once a diehard Apple fan but because of Apple's movement towards becoming mainstream they have lost their niche IMO... Mr. Steve-O can KMA and keep his iPhone's..

Indeed Apple has moved towards the mainstream which is annoying. Quite off putting seeing chavs with iPhones.

I get quite annoyed when people who know nothing about the company itself buy Apple products. iPods and iPhones should be limited to those with macs only. Lets keep Apple small a more niche.

So what are you doing here?

I'm reading the news and finding out that I may have to go another few days without my iPhone 4. Fortunately, I doubt I'll have a nervous breakdown while I wait. It's no big deal - and if it is to you, then you have a problem, .. and if you don't know why it's a problem then you have a real problem..

So, been to any Star Trek conventions lately???

I ordered my Black 16 Gig at 4:33pm EST on the 15th. I also changed the shipping address on the 16th. Since I was unable to get a pre-order through the Apple store until so late, I went ahead and reserved one for in store pick up. I also was someone who was taking the early upgrade since I got the 3GS on launch day. My order still says "Prepared for shipment" and my in store pick up reservation is still showing up on the Apple Store App. I think this eliminates many theories about why orders are being canceled. And I won't be canceling my reservation until I actually get notification from fedex or ups that my iPhone 4 has boarded a plane in China.

"reserved" = pre-order?

I had reserved one on June 15 for store pickup at launch, but my order status is blank, too. Does that mean reserved is not as same as pre-order for shipment?

Then you would have had massive lines in front of Apple and ATT stores. There is no way Apple or ATT could service so many people in their stores in one day. So then you would have had mad riots from people being told that the store was closing and they would have to come back the next day, only to have re line up and go through the same nightmare the next day. The pre orders are done so as to take pressure off the lines in the store. The problem I think is that Apple and ATT underestimated the demand for the new iphone and this has led to a number of internal problems. That and I think some people may be seeing their orders cancelled because they may have reserved or ordered to many phones on the same line of service.

complain, bitch, whine -- JE*US -- the white phones are being reassembled with new faces because steve didn't like that you could see the sensors on the white one, and it took articles like these:

http://forums.macresource.com/read.php?1,951194,951233,quote=1

to point it out. perfectionism has its price.

(i'm just guessing about all this of course, but i bet it's true..)

Ut oh, i upset one of Jesus Job's people. My bad, my bad. I forgot. Steve is God, he can do no wrong and we're completely wrong for expecting an announced product to launch when promised. Steve has a plan for us all, right?

Taking half a day off just to receive shipment for a cell phone?
I don't mean to single you out, but people need to chill here. IT'S JUST A PHONE. Are your people's lives going to end if you can't get it in your hands the 24th?
Not getting the phone on the 24th isn't the end of the world, but some people like myself(though I chose to reserve one in store), would rather not have such an expensive item just sitting on their doorstep all day that anyone could walk up and grab. Camping out for days or a week rather is pretty extreme, but this on the other hand makes logical sense.

Apple must honor that commitment, if they don't in the store then speak with management. "Glitch" or not, it was approved and verified. Any one who is in this situation needs to speak with Apple in person during the day of pickup for reservations and/or speak with an Apple rep over the phone. Otherwise they will simply get away with screwing people over.

Your situation is different than his. He is suppose to have a contract for each of those phones. You just got screwed by AT&T and got lucky on ordering day

Reservations won't show up on apple.com. To my knowledge the only way to find out if it's still reserved is through the apple store app or by calling the apple store you reserved the phone to pick it up from.

Pre-Order Cancelled email

"Dear Customer,

We were unable to complete the authorization process for your iPhone
order. As a result, we had to cancel your iPhone order. To complete the
purchase of your iPhone, please visit an Apple Retail Store or an AT&T
company-owned retail store.

To locate an Apple Retail Store near you, please visit
<http://www.apple.com/retail/storelist/>.

We apologize for this inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Apple Online Store Team"

Probably has to do with an AT&T error. Luckily the one I ordered for my wife at AT&T is still there.

I hope :apple: gets this all figured out before launch day. At least the guy in the tent in Texas knows that if at least one makes it to his store, that he's good to go.:D

While I've enjoyed all of my Macs over the years(Pre iPhone days), their business is growing(booming is more like it), and Jobs and company would be foolish to try and revert back to the "good ole days".

So what if some folks are going to have to stick with their iPhone 3GS for a little longer? Its just a phone. I'm sure most people with a 3GS just want the latest toy with a fruit logo on it.

Dude, you just made me have a good laugh after reading that.

you are so right. it's JUST a phone after all.. I mean, i would like one on launch day too, since i haven't had one for a few months since mine was stolen. but it will hardly be the end of the world if i don't get it on thursday. to bitch and moan and complain. cmon!

if people spent as much time on philanthropy or caring for another person, our world would be in a better place.

btw. . . i hope the suicides or even suicidal thoughts on those chinese workers that are obviously in REAL agony, constructing these phones, are being addressed by the manufacturer, etc.

how about we think about them for a moment when we think we're gonna lose it....over a our phone orders

thank god im picking up one in.store and thats not a for sure it sounds like either!

Me too, I have to work the 24th, wont be able to pick up iPhone until 2:30pm. Im not going to be happy if something is messed up. I understand "stuff" happens, but how did they not know this phone would sell so many. I dont get it.
