Got the 32G for $149 at Staples. And I have already stopped using my iPad. The way Touchpad handles multitasking is miles ahead of iOS. WebOS is very intuitive; it's a shame it couldn't get traction.

I agree. I have always been a big fan of WebOS and the Pre, I just never had faith in Palm to stick around so I never wanted to invest in them (Sorry Palm). But a touchpad for this price, I just couldn't say no.

Anyone know where I can still get one?

I got mine at Walmart (in store), they had a decent amount in stock. Have you tried going there?

at 2am I drove to 3 Walmarts.

1st sold out 10 minutes before I got there (I was told), their was a line apparently.

2nd store hadn't changed the price yet and the manager wouldn't do it for me (they had a good amount in stock).

3rd store only had 1 in stock, manager checked the system and it said price drop pending, so he went ahead an honored it :)

IS there a chance HP will have more on their website? I'm having no luck with 3rd party sellers...

I'm just presuming, but Best Buy has said that they are not participating in this price drop because they are shipping all of their units back to HP. The rumor earlier this week was that Best Buy wanted HP to take back their 200,000+ unsold units, so if that is true then I am guessing HP will have another 200,000+ units to sell again some time in the future.

the only thing worth another company buying will be the patent portfolio

I doubt, if HP sells them, they'll give up the patents

I'm hoping some more stock comes in when HP gets them back from best buy...

Picked up a 32GB Touchpad at Office Depot.

Great for parents with young kids. I can u it as entertainment device in car so kids can watch movies I ripped with handbrake.

Watch and surf net while at home

Was going to pick up DVD player for car at around $80 but touchpad deal much better.

Sweet! I just hope they'll keep the same price points. :p

Got a 16 GB Touchpad for $129 at Office Depot in Charlotte this morning -- I arrived at the store about two minutes before it opened. There was one guy in front of me, and two others showed up right after I did. I wanted a 32 GB unit, but the store only had one and the guy in front of me got it, so I settled for a 16 GB unit (of which there were only TWO). So now they're totally sold out -- and even Office Depot's web site now lists that the Touchpad is no longer available.

Great price - picked up a few for some relatives who aren't techy. $99 for a casual internet/email/kindle tablet is perfect.
I'm sure there will be a few 'rounds' of selling them off, so I'd just check hp.com daily.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

Checking out walmart later - they had bundles onlines but now they're sold out ($175 for 32gb and the little dock)

I really wanted a touchpad but couldn't justify it for even the $300 price.

I hope they have it in stock when I get there!

I picked up the very last 32gb Touchpad at a local Walmart..

My mom's been wanting a Tablet for surfing the internet and email and for $150, it can't get any better.

Before I give it to her though, I get to compare it to my iPad2 and see how nice WebOS is.. So far the dang System Updater won't even work right!

I got mine today! 32GB!
It's a cool device for $150 but not for what it was retailing! My sisters iPad 2 is so much better in almost everything compared to it, but for me is a good ereader for my med books in the down time @ the hospital and it does flash for videos (not great but not bad). Now to find a case!
I want the accessories like the wireless charger stand thing to drop in price too!

I would totally get one if I didn't have an iPad.. I was so tempted to get one.. Its on for $100 at futureshop..

Picked up a 16GB from ABC Warehouse for full price. :(

Hoping that they will drop the price in the next couple of days there so I can get a refund for the difference.

If not, I'll just return it.

I got the last one at HH Gregg this morning (32GB). I was at Best Buy when they opened and they said that HP had ordered them to send all of them back, so they had none for sale. I have to say, it is a decent tablet. Not quite as fluid as an iPad, but very nice, and well worth the (massively discounted) price. At full price, it would be way worth it to get the iPad, but for the price of a Kindle, I've got a 10" tablet with 32GB that can play movies, browse the web and do some productivity. Shame they killed it off so quickly...webOS is actually really nice.

I was tempted get one and contemplated to make trips around the stores nearby. Then I remembered the pile of electronics (Hello PlayBook, Clie, Axim and Minidisc players) that I bought just because it was a "amazing deal," (or free in PlayBook's case) and rarely bothered to use it after the first week.

Maybe I'll buy one if I visit a mall and if it's still around, but I'm split. Not that I have a choice - I guess they are selling out really fast at that price and also going back to HP fast too.

Wow, you got a firesale TP an hour ago and have "already" stopped using your original iPad? What a testimonial.

:)

I know how that goes. I was at WalMart this morning and they had a few, but I came to my senses before buying.

It's a great price but I would imagine it won't get a lot of use in our house after the first week or so.

We have hundreds of dollars of iPad apps that would feel left out if we got a TouchPad.

Engadget has this posted:
Don't get upset if you already plunked down $400 for 10-inches of webOS goodness -- HP will refund you the difference. Call up the company or the retail partner you purchased it from, and ask. Just be prepared to sit on hold with all the rest of the folks trying to get their cash back.
So I would call the retailer first, then HP if the retailer doesn't want to refund the difference.
