The lines were short at the carrier stores I passed up on my way to the Apple Store in Chicago. I guess people got the message that there isn't much stock for walk-ins.
[doublepost=1474030233][/doublepost]Still the annoying news crews around. So far no one has come around shoving microphones in people's faces. At least from what I can tell.

All AT&T stores in RI and Souther MA have no plus models. I'm a little disappointed but I picked up a 7 for a family member and it definitely is a nice phone.

What made me a little angry is that I was first in line and they had a black plus on display...they shouldn't have put any on display and instead sold it. I would have gladly bought it.

Showed up to my local AT&T store this morning 10 minutes prior to opening, no one in line so I hung out for a few and a girl came out and said all they had was silver and gold 7, no pluses and no black at all. She also said NONE of the carrier stores around have any pluses and no black. She even said her friend was waiting in line at the Apple Store and they only had a handful of pluses.

I guess will have to wait for my preorder to arrive next month.

Absolute BS. Did you ask a manager to see if it could be sold?

Just got in the Austin AT&T Store. Plenty of 7+'s in every color and size EXCEPT the 2 blacks. I was 16th in line and am getting a 7+.

This day turned out to be great after all!!! Good luck everyone!

Line at VZW n Denver

Guys, the display phones are built as displays. They are a nonsellable sku. I promise you. I used to be a corporate store employee and did the merchandising and inventory.
The display phones don't even ship with regular inventory.

I just think it's strange how some regions seemed to have plenty of iPhone 7s in all colors. And also some have plenty of 7+ in different colors as well...

Don't they organize this??

i was the first in line at the Sprint store in Durham NC, at around 7:55 the manager came out an told as in line (about 30) that he had NO 7 + in any size or color, also there was no 7+ at any other others carriers (ATT,Verizon,Tmoble) in the RTP area. He did say he had plenty of regular 7 for everyone who wanted one even a couple of jet black. I just ahead an order a 7+ 128 black

Nope. Tried 3 diff Raleigh AT&T stores and 1 Durham

What a poor effort on a release. I mean they know the day of release LONG before we do, so why don't they produce and ship enough phones is beyond me. It happened every year though, so I believe they do it on purpose for more hype.

If they are afraid to make a ton of phones and ship them all over and they sit on shelves, it would be nice if they did a preorder more than 1 week prior to launch so they can get them out to pre orders AND stock the stores.
