I think this thread was meant for people that actually went through the ordeal of trying to pre-order, of course you're not in the least stressed if you're content with your current phone.

Wish I was in your position!

:)

I will admit i did not even read the OP:eek:

I should feel relaxed, but I'm not. Got the 6 plus via the App Store app by about 1:30 am Pacific. Could have been worse. Woke up this morning with an email from Apple saying my reservation is ready to go to complete my order (I got one of those "an iPhone is reserved for you" messages but kept going since it wasn't showing up in tracking.

So now I'm having second thoughts on the size. Is this thing really going to be huge? Will it be comfortable in my pants? Will I look like a schmuck when I'm talking on it? I'm debating whether or not I should cancel my order (which is set to arrive on the 19th) for the still-in-stock 6. I know I shouldn't be thinking this way and just be happy, but I'm not. First time I've ever felt so unsure about a tech item before.

Thanks Apple.

If you're having all those second thoughts my advice would be to cancel. The things you listed are all problems of larger sized phones, I know because my current phone is a Note 3. You have to be prepared to use 2 hands whenever you want to do anything on your phone, your phone will stick out of your pocket, make it uncomfortable to drive with it in your pocket, and force you to leave it in the car during any kind of exercise.

I've learned to live like this due to my Note 3, I know what I'm getting into ordering the 6+.

I'm pretty happy and relaxed! I was able to order a 64GB 6 Plus with 9/19 delivery date.

I just need to figure out how to have it held at a FedEx or UPS distribution center since I don't want it being left in my condo building's lobby.

Very happy. Got my 128 Gold Plus. Got my wife's 64 non-Plus. Still have to upgrade my mom, which means if I don't like the Plus, I can sell it, give her my 5s and get the non-Plus. :)

I just need sleep. Lots of sleep.

Everyone complains that Apple doesn't offer enough choices, but this is what happens. Sometimes it actually can be better to have someone else make decisions about what should work best. I think some of the things Apple decides NOT to do is what makes their products superior. They don't try to be all things to all people. They try to make everything they do as simple and seamless as possible. It doesn't always work, and some people are still unhappy, but it's a lot better than the fragmented mess that is the Android market.

When it comes to the larger sizes, everyone is making fun of Apple saying they are late to the party. I actually think Jonny Ive and others have a good sense for when the masses are ready for something like larger screens, then they make the jump. It took me this ling to start wishing for a larger screen, and then Apple did it. And the 4.7 is great for me. Samsung is happy to just throw everything at the wall and see what sticks, but Apple doesn't want to ruin their reputation for near perfection.

If you're having all those second thoughts my advice would be to cancel.
Yeah, my gut keeps telling me to cancel and reorder. But no matter what, I'm going to have second thoughts on this one. If I get the 6, I'll always wonder about the extended battery and the OIS. If I get the 6+, I'll always wonder if I should have gone with the smaller (but-still-bigger-than-5) one. Such is my problem with this preorder. First world problems for sure, but since I always hold on to my iPhones for 2 years, it's a commitment.

Only saving grace is that I will have 14 days to return it to Apple if need be.

Smooth order experience through the Apple Store App via iPad.
I can handle the week wait for the delivery.

I'm happy, relaxed, I didn't get up at 3am to place my order, actually I got up at 9am, had some coffee, did some work, had a late breakfast, did some more work and I just now completed my pre-order on the apple website, received my confirmation email and now I wait until Friday. I'm cool as a cucumber

Everything went smooth...maybe now I'll have a beer...

It's all good. Time to completely disassociate myself with this whole process and enjoy the weekend.

I won't get mine until the middle of October, but I could care less. I've waiting since the 4 because the other releases barely made a difference to me or gave me any reasons to upgrade. I can wait one more month or so. And I'll have it until the iPhone 8 holographic phone.

So I keep seeing neurotic threads about people worrying that their ship date isn't accurate, the carrier said there might be a problem, etc. Others are neurotically checking the orders page or calling the carrier to create even more things to worry about.

So who here is actually just happy and relaxed that they got their preorder in? Personally, I couldn't be happier. I got the size and color I wanted, then I got the confirmation at the end of the order and an email confirmation that both said it's arriving on launch day.

Let's all just take a breath, have a beer, and relax a bit. What do you say? :)

I am. My phones will both arrive on the 19th, confirmed via AT&T email, just waiting for next week when we get tracking!

reading about all of the stress of those who are so indecisive they've been hovering over that cancel button makes me lol!

I don't usually get pleasure watching other people uncomfortable but I'd say of all of the forums I'm on, there are more *******s on this forum than any others... It's the personality type of those who offer snide, sarcastic, and just flat out rude replies to things that are the ones who can't make up their minds or are so confident in their decision at first but then start to second guess themselves... those are the people that I like to watch stress about a stupid phone size.

So if you've never posted anything sarcastic or rude or made someone on here feel like an idiot for no reason, then you're not one of the people I'm talking about. If you have, well, you deserve to have to stress out about a stupid phone.

Logged into Verizon at 12:01AM. Completed transaction at 12:05AM. Received confirmation email at 12:56AM. Went to bed.

I've somehow slipped from 9/19 to 10/1-10/6 for my Plus

I'm relaxed. While getting it day 1 would be nice, I'm going to be using it for 2-3 years and would rather wait a few weeks to get a phone I want than settle on a lesser model/size to get it day 1.

That's why I'm waiting to see them in stores. I'm leaning toward a 6, but worried it might be too big. I'm coming from a 64GB 4s. I like the pocketable size.

Ideally, I want a 128GB 5s. I'd preorder that right now. And I'd be happy and relaxed! :)

The problems were for people who tried to order the 6plus after midnight.
Most of them were able to order iphone 6 after 1:30am pst via app, but iphone 6plus was the one causing headaches to lot of them.

I'm happy and relieved. My shipping date is early October but I really don't care. My 4s is still working fine. This was the first time I preordered a phone and the experience was frustrating yet exhilarating at the same time.

Jobs is dead. The Tim Cook phones wobble.

This is actually the reason I decided to get a leather case. The phones are now slim enough that a case won't cause issues, and I will be able to lay the phone flat.

I am. It's Friday. My boyfriend is coming in town tonight. I got my iPhone 6 + order in after an hour of trying, and my delivery is set for the 19th. So I'm happy and relaxed and sleepy. :)

I am happy and relaxed. I shall wander down the to local apple store at 5pm the evening before and queue up over night chatting to people, drinking beer and watching movies just knowing that i will get the phone of my choice at 8am the next morning:)
