Got my order in at 3am. att says sometime in october, I really don't care. This is the first time I'm not in any rush waiting for this to arrive. I was actually considering just waiting until the mid day friday to order at a store and use my trade in to get $200. Every year there's hundreds of posts of people that are like chickens with their heads cut off worrying about a ship date. Focus on the bigger issues, did I keep my unlimited dat, did I receive my trade in information, was I billed correctly and so on.

I once ordered a set of handmade knitting needles that took over a year to arrive (massive backlog of orders + each needle being hand carved one-at-a-time = crazy long wait).

Waiting a couple of weeks for a cellphone is a piece of cake compared to that.

Extremely relaxed and enjoying the rain shower here. I'm part of the 7-10 days batch on my T-Mobile 6 Plus. People need to just calm down. It's a phone. Not like your current phone is going to stop working.

Totally happy! 64GB Space Grey 6+. Received my FedEx tracking number this afternoon from Verizon. Just like most all of you....I will have it in the 19th.

no problems here, last time I ordered the iphone 5 late and had to wait until the end of october. That was too long of a wait. Now I am chilling, pretty sure I will get it on the 19th but if its a day or two after its no problem.

I am very relaxed. I got my order in, it's done. It'll come when it comes. Calling or emailing Apple, AT&T or shippers won't change a thing, it's out of my hands. So I'm not going to be stressing about it.

Order is in and it's a phone. No worries about this; so many other things to fret about.

So I keep seeing neurotic threads about people worrying that their ship date isn't accurate, the carrier said there might be a problem, etc. Others are neurotically checking the orders page or calling the carrier to create even more things to worry about.

So who here is actually just happy and relaxed that they got their preorder in? Personally, I couldn't be happier. I got the size and color I wanted, then I got the confirmation at the end of the order and an email confirmation that both said it's arriving on launch day.

Let's all just take a breath, have a beer, and relax a bit. What do you say? :)

Super post! I didn't get launch day but honestly I don't care, it's no big deal! And I'm relaxed and happy!

Sorry, but no. Look up "personal responsibility". At no time is giving up your ability to choose "better". This is the kind of thinking that enables dictators, despots and fascists. Never ever ever give up your freedom. Ever. To anyone.

Yeah agreed but that's a bit heavy for this thread.

Hopefully no one is freaking out over a phone.

No, unfortunately they do. People lose sleep and can experience panic. It's desire and obsession, combined with anticlimactic anticipation, and frustration.

People do crazy things for what they desire, and the desire for these phones can be pretty intense. Phones, athletic shoes, clothing, even toys, can be part of self definition; how we define ourselves.

The good news is, the vast majority of people here are not going to get really carried away. They are mostly above average intelligence, and have developed coping skills that will help them if it gets out of hand.

Very sad...

Even if my 5S broke now, I'd be fine. I've got mine coming the 19th and have plenty of books to read until then with al my preferences down. No worries here. I haven't even checked my bank to see if they've held the money. The only day I start getting tracking fever is the morning of delivery day. But who doesn't?

Very sad...

Yep.

This is a post in another thread.

went in knowing that she was not going to give me the answers I hoped for. I did it mainly to see responses of different reps as I've read dozens of different ones already and was curious what I would get. I could care less that CS reps have to deal with questions like these. I've been there, so I have no empathy for them. She's getting paid for it isn't she? And answering the same question over and over is easy money for that day.

I don't know about you, but I don't like waiting 2 months for something that is being released in a week, especially having paid close to $500 for it. I get that it's not "important" but this "bizarre" culture you speak of has always been around. It's nothing new for people to want something quickly. Get over it.

I have to be honest here. Im pretty content with my iphone 5. Im not due for an upgrade until march of next year. I dont feel like spending $750 on something thats not going to be amazingly better,

I'll happily spend it for just better.

I think reading the forums here and seeing all the panic just makes it easier to get sucked in and start obsessing about it, too.

You see other people getting charged/receiving shipment notifications and panic because you haven't gotten either.

You see other people get delivery date changes to October, so you log into Verizon or whatever carrier to see if yours has changed. It now mysteriously reads Oct 14th and you start panicking, too.

I know I've (stupidly) spent several hours on the forums this weekend that would have been better spent tackling some extra work I have.

Best way to be relaxed about it is to back away from the forums and focus on something else. Once you've been charged for the phone (and it just happened for me), then you're good to go.

I couldn't be happier or more relaxed about my new phone. I got my order in at 3:07 for a iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Space Grey with no problems. Got my email confirmation with expected shipping on the 19th. Order a case and screen protector from Amazon that have already shipped and should arrive before the phone. Things are really working out. I know people are excited (I am too!) but some are getting way too bent out of shape for a phone.

I've been waiting 7 years for a larger screen!

I'm going from

4s 3.5 to 5.5
IOS 5 to IOS 8
16 GB to 128 GB
3G speed to LTE speed

Am I happy and relaxed?
