Who is on a Vaja countdown? updates on deliveries etc

I am more concerned with functionality than protection.

Don't think I can change my order. According to Vaja's FAQ, changes have to be made within 24 hours after placing the order. I emailed Vaja anyway. We'll see what happens. I can also order the Grip and sell the one that I don't want.

I take my iPhone out for extended use and put the flap down to do/check something quickly. Works as a really nice extra-functionality pouch
 
Does anybody know if the Vaja Black series cases have the new metal logo on the back like the new iVolution top has??




Since its 5$ cheaper and there's no image gallery for the black series one, I'm thinking maybe not.

I have ordered SGP Leather Case illuzion Legend Black for Apple iPhone 4 at http://www.sgpstore.com/product_info.php/products_id/1485

Very sweet looking case. Like the fact that unlike Vaja, it doesn't cover the sides fully so the metallic bit is visible and looks gorgeous. I will also use it as a pouch, out for extended use and in pouch for quickie ;-)
With wrapsol ultra already on, this case will cease my search into protection for my new iPhone 4 :D

I got the sgp vintage flat leather only reason i don't like it is the pictures washout BIGTIME when you use the flash... sucks bigtime try it :(
 
Flash will not be an issue if u use camera out of the pouch when in darker situation.
 
I like the extra-functionality pouch idea. The jury is not put yet. Guess I really need to handle the case before I make a decision. I am still liking the Grip though.

That's the thing it's not a pouch it's a case if I wanted to take the case off the phone (not pull it out cause it's not a pouch) I would of bought a pouch. I think your missing the point of my comment.
 
I've got a black series Vaja on its way, should be here in two days. I'll post a review soon as I can. Can't wait.

Walds, what color combo did you order? Depending on your answer maybe I'll buy it from you if you want to sell it! Or your grip if you order one!

Can I have dibs on buying it from you if you decide to sell it? Or the grip?
This way I won't have to do the vaja order and wait thing! I'll put it out of my mind until I hear from you!
 
Disappointed

As a long time Loyal Vaja owner, (5 cases for different devices) I have been holding out on pulling the trigger on and iPhone 4 until I saw that Vaja had announced their "4" cases. I was very disappointed to learn that they have opted out of offering their "optional" hip clip or swivel clips on their iPhone 4 line.

The environment and way I use my iPhone I find this the best type of case for me.

So I am now looking for a new case company that offers a hip/swivel clip case that is like the iVolution Grip for an iPhone 4.

Any ideas who does a case like this?

Personalisation on ip4 cases?

Has anyone else noticed that none of the iPhone 4 cases on vaja's website allow you to personalise by adding text or pictures (which you could do with the 3g/3GS cases). I can pick leather type and colour etc but before you load up the 'customise' section it seems to suggest that this is available (because it is only listed as a feature on certain models). I haven't emailed them but has anyone else ordered one and managed to add initials or text to their case?
 
hanging flap?

Hey to anyone that has the vaja with the front protection that hangs:

I always thought these cases were hella slick but have never bought one because It seems like it would kinda be goofy to have a flap hanging while your talking on the phone. Doing anything else would be fine but when your talking on the phone does it seem to be any kind of bother to have that extra piece hanging or is it still real slick? Thanks! btw a solution i just thought of would be to use headphones with speakers, but thats not really my style.
 
Did Vaja offer a hip clip? I would like one of those. Forget about their swivel clip. I saw a YouTube video on a Vaja iVolution top case with a swivel clip. The swivel clip does not lock into place. Your iPhone will just spin around. Deal breaker for me.

Vaja customer service got back to me. They can cancel the order and place a new one for the grip, but I have to let them know today. Darn, *the pressure is on.* Flap or no flap?

When I think of vaja I think of "flap". If you go flapless I would look at other less expensive more protective cases both leather and otherwise.
 
Thanks for the advice. I am not at all concerned about protection. I just want something that looks good. I love the look of Vaja's floater leather. And still unsure about the flap.

I love the case but i think the flap would look goofy, i wish the leather pouch had some holds on the bottom to hear the phone ring.

I believe the flap is cut out so that there is a space where the speaker is. can anyone verify this?
