The way the flap is attached, it leaves room for the speakers on both sides. So basically it covers the docking portion, but not the speakers.

Vaja answered my email about this and said that the Black Case series does "NOT" have the newer metal logo on the back like the new iVolution Top and Top SP.
Anybody know what type of lining is on the inside of the Retro Slim pouch? Also, if anybody knows how different this pouch is from the Beyza Retro Super Slim pouch, I'd appreciate insight into that as well.
I've ordered the Black Series over 20 days ago and I realize there are no pics of the back like the newer cases. Any idea how the back is gonna be like? Same as the Limited Edition 3G/3GS ones? And it's sad to know the new logo wont appear on the back. Probably because of the floater leather. You cant add customizations too.
Most likely like the 3G/3GS ones. The floater leather has nothing to do with the new logo because you can customize an iVolution Top in different colors of floata leather and that has the new logo on the back.
Had a vaja case for my 3GS. They're overpriced and don't look as nice as in the pics. The colors also mess up quickly

The cut out for the camera is missing the black little leather piece too like on the iVolution top pic below maybe it's a rushed out realese or the black series is just different. (How did you get it so soon??)...Post links of your review when your done but from what Vaja told me in their email no metal back logo will be included email them and ask them yourself I hope i'm wrong I want to order one but no new logo would kinda suck.

When did you order and receive it? I should have just bought the now-called Black Series when it launched rater than waiting for the iVolution Top SP. I don't know if it's a little too late in the game for me to order. I might just get a leather sleeve elsewhere, the wait's a killer.

Overpriced is subjective since many feel Apple products are overpriced.
What color scheme did you have? I had the nautical blue with white stripe for my 3G and white stripe absorbed the blue dye. For that, I agree that the color didn't hold and I would advise against the stripe. If you're referring to the patina, that is expected since soft leather will wear. Any leather product will show wear with use no matter what the quality is.
Wow that cutout for the camera is HUGE!!! Makes me think there's not a whole lot of protection from this case, as compared to the ones for the first gen and 3G/S (I have Tops for both).
The floater looks grainier than I expected -- I think I still like the smooth leather better. FWIW my cases are all black and show no wear whatsoever, apart from the patina/character that all leather acquires over time.
Is there any padding in the back of the case? Or is it flat like the phone itself? Again, I'm comparing it to the 3G/S versions of the case, which had a bit of padding there, perhaps because of the roundness of the phone itself.
In a fit of boredom waiting for my Element Vapor case (yeah, yea, I know) I just ordered a red Piel Frama iMagnum for overnight delivery. Can't beat cases.com if they have something in stock! I'll compare it to the Vaja I have and see what I think of the two.
