iPhone 12 Who is returning their iPhone 12/Pro?

Sorry - had to cut my post short to go drop my car at the body shop. So I came from an 11 to an SE2 after years of big/+ size phones. I just wanted something smaller, and I love the form factor, as well as Touch ID honestly. I do struggle to type/text on the SE2, so I was really just wanting something bigger that would have a bigger keyboard, but not really any heavier. I figured the 12 might be happy medium because screen is bigger, but overall size isn’t unbearable, and keyboard is a good bit larger when zoomed. I had pretty much ruled the mini out completely because it’s even smaller.
So I got the 12 Friday, and it’s a really great phone no doubt. I gave my granddaughter the SE2 and called it a day.
I like a lot about the 12. It’s fast, has a great display, really good camera, it’s not too heavy, especially considering the size, and it just has a smooth feel when using it.
I picked up the SE2 this morning, and I just like the darn thing. What I miss about the SE is the size, the form factor (I prefer the rounded edges to the square ones), ease of one-handed use, touch ID, and the lack of notch (and yes, I KNOW it has those ginormous bezels, but for some reason the notch really annoys me, and it never did with the XR or 11).
So I’m on the fence right now, teetering on the edge...
I don’t think I’ve ever encountered anybody online, certainly not in real life, so indecisive when picking a phone to buy lol!
I miss aspects of my 8+ while using my new iPhone 12 already but I just let myself adapt without overthinking it.

Yeah this year hasn’t gone well for me with decision making, and honestly, I have no clue why I have been like this. I have never had trouble making decisions like this in the past. I guess part of it is, for $850 I expect to pretty much have no complaints. Otherwise, why not just keep what I had?
Indeed if you were happy with your fairly new SE I would have never swapped. What drew you towards the 12 btw? I remember you said you got rid of your 11 Pro due to it’s size but the 12 is slightly bigger?
Actually, I had the 11. I got the SE because I wanted something smaller and lighter. I did try an 11 pro because it wasn’t much bigger, but it was a good bit heavier than the SE, so I returned it. I thought the 12 would be a happy medium - not quite as big as the 11, but with a weight closer to the SE.
Honestly, I really like the phone, but I don’t know if it’s $850 worth of like, and there are things I really don’t like (not a fan of the flat sides for instance, not being able to comfortably use it one-handed, which I didn’t think mattered til I couldn’t do it). When I picked up the SE today, it just felt so comfortable.
I mean the display on the 12 is stunning. It’s definitely a great device - just not sure it’s for me.

lol no. I can’t be the direct target of ALL the jokes.
And I have to reiterate that, up until this spring, the only devices I had EVER returned to Apple were the XS Max and a defective iPad mini. I’m not usually that person.
Once I return my iPhone 12, do I get to keep my 1 year free Apple TV plus subscription?
Thinking I shouldn’t of activated my free subscription now, should of waited till I got my pro max.
I don’t think it’s tied that closely to a specific person. I got another free year added when I had to have my phone replaced. Seems like it is tied more to the device.
Yes, it should still be active. I returned my 12 Pro and still have 3 free months of Apple Arcade.
Customer service at it best from apple, returned my iPhone 12 today, out in 10 minutes, glad the apple stores are open in Melbourne again. 😁

Always had apple silicone cases, might give the leather cases a go this year. 🤔
Only concern is if the leather cases are grippy enough. 🤔

I always go for the leather cases. They looks classier.
Still undecided about the 12P but I’m leaning towards returning it. The battery life just isn’t good enough for my heavy use.
Screen size and battery was the main concern for me, knew if I kept the 12 and went past my return date, I’d end up wanting the pro max. 😂🤦♂️
So happy to be using my xs max again, love the bigger screen.
Am convinced MagSafe is just a gimmick especially since I liked the leather case, but don’t want a circle on it so avoiding leather at all costs. I like the 12 Pro, the size is perfect. The camera quality is much better than the X, especially the focus in low light/nighttime, it’s noticeably fast and photos are sharp. Loading speeds in apps are faster when it comes to initial setup, and the 6GB of RAM is clearly working with the ability to have multiple apps open without worrying about any apps crashing or losing cached data.
Sounds like you should wait for the mini if you like the SE2's size. I bet that phone sells like hotcakes.
Toyed with it, but it’s even smaller than SE2, and I already struggle with typing on the SE2, even with keyboard zoomed. I’m trying to adjust to the 12, and just stick with it. I’d honestly love the 11 pro, but it’s noticeably heavier than the 12, and I really just want to have the lightest phone I can while still having a decent size screen And keyboard for texting.
You do you! Never got the whole color aligned with a gender thing but that's a topic for another forum 😂 I wish they made the yellow and purple Hermes bands in the 44mm size! I'd rock those for sure.
I bought the Kumquat case for my 12 Pro and loved it, I'll prob be buying it for the 12 Pro Max, and possibly that Plum one because it does look pretty awesome.
