I just got a call from bestbuy store that my iphone x is ready for pickup 8am in the morning...yay!
hope they will not hassle me with the pricematch...

Ordered SG 256gb at 12.09am. Still no movement and stuck on “Processing”. Called B.B. and they said that they received a handful on iPhone X in store but my name is not assigned to any of it. They are still getting shipment throughout the day to fulfill pre orders. Well, it’s 8.20pm now, and I don’t think UPS is going to deliver anything else for the rest of the night. They’re still very optimistic that I’d get it tomorrow.

Ordered 64 GB, Silver for Sprint from Best Buy. I was a little late and didn’t get my confirmation email until 2:32 AM CST. Order still said “Get it by Fri, Nov 3rd” though. Up until this point I don’t think there’s been movement. The Best Buy Purchases tab says Preparing and the Order Details tab still says Order Received. I think I’m out of luck on getting this tomorrow.
I think your good. If it went to preparing and you were charged, you'll get it tomm. I bet you get the shipment email in the morning , happened to me that way before
I was told communication is we're not price matching, but your mileage may vary.
The BBY price match policy covers any in-stock item, so... if Apple doesn't have it in-stock technically it shouldn't be done.
I wonder how many stores are opening early? I was there getting a screen guard and they told me to come at 8am that’s the only way I found out

Not all stores will be doing calls. Most are going to rely on the email system. THat said, they SHOULD be pulling them just after close tonight so the emails are generated for you, so you should be getting emails later tonight.
Unless you got in very early there is a good chance they received fewer units than preorders. Stores around here are sitting on 30-100 preorders, for the most part, and many received single digits of phones). There is also a chance, as happens on launch day, that Apple drops them phones mid day. Those are prirotized to preorders, so you could also conceivably receive an email in the middle of the day that your phone is ready, assuming they didn't get have enough stock on hand the night before.
80% of Best Buy's preorder stock went to paid in full orders. So please be courteous when asking for a price match. Chances are the managers will be dealing with this with nearly every unit they sell that day.

@lordofthereef your posts are almost cyrptic to decipher, and you seem to have a great understandingt of the percentages of how much is going to pre order and people waiting in line....seriously?
Apple stores will have it in stock tomorrow. You could reasonably wait in line for it there. Seems like they should price match
What is cryptic about them? [Edit -I know someone that has the numbers for the territory. If I am lying, she is the one lying to me lol.] Most in New England will receive 0 for people waiting in line. Their preorders are beyond capacity. The only case where people waiting in line at such stores where preorders exceed qauntity have a chance is if they got a disporoprionate number of different models of devices versus preorders.

The way they check (if they do) in stock is by going on the website and checking the store stock (they can also call the store). Assuming they do this, there is almost no likelihood they have stock, particularly two hours after Apple opens their doors in the morning (since they open at 8 on iPhone launch days).
FWIW they also have an "exclusions include but are not limited to" page. My suggestion is to just be nice and polite but don't expect anything. Calling corporate likely won't help either since corporate decided to stop selling the phone outright altogether.
On any other item I would say people have a leg to stand on but the comlainers sort of ruined it on this one.

Supposed tobe under an hour. The reality is "whenever emplyees get to it".
And sometimes never if they run out of stock, but don't update the system.
