I have seen lots of threads about scratches in the iPhone 6 screen oleophobic coating. I'm about to purchase two 6's as upgrades for my wife and I who both have ageing 4S's.

My question is are there any users without cases or screen protection who do not have scratches on their screen? And what colour phone do you have? As it appears that Space Grey is more susceptible to the visible scratches.

I have a space grey iPhone 6 w/o screen protection. I've had it pretty much since launch day, and I have no scratches on the screen/oleophobic coating. That being said, I am pretty conscious about where I put my phone (never with my keys, never face down, etc.)

Never used a case ever. Don't plan on starting. Just have to be careful.

Hello buddy.

I'm just wondering if you're using a case with your 6/6+ after all?

I have a 6, with a black Apple silicone case but I really don't like it.

Everything is just monotone (Space Grey handset) and I'm thinking of going case free.

The only thing is, the 6 is so slippery!

Might get the Power Support Air Jacket (frosted version) which is relatively see-through.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Currently rocking my 128gb Space Grey iPhone 6 completely in the buff.

How has it held up??

Ahem ... the phone, I mean :)

I have the same handset, by the way.

Kind of wishing I went with the Silver version, though ...

Running naked and loving it. Phone is a bit slick, but when I'm out and about I have it in a Atelier Pall leather wallet.

Well I bought 2 iPhone 6's in White/Silver and they are both going to be naked.

I'm hoping they hold up OK. I agree about the slipperiness of the phone especially coming from 4S's

They are beautiful though :)

Slipperiness is a non-issue. I don't know where people are getting that. I use it naked. Now, I don't throw it around like a plastic toy, but I don't baby it either. I try to avoid laying it on rough surfaces, but aside from that, I just use it.

I tried several cases in the beginning (many I liked), but I always ended up taking it off after a few minutes because the phone is just too damn pretty naked.

It is still pristine.

I just bought a 6+ and intend to use it without a case but purchase the Apple Care+ (Lots of maths in this post! :p)

As I'm so fussy over cases and screen protectors and various other things I can easily spend the £79 + £55 just going through various cases and screen protectors!

Since I get two chances, if I lose my first 'life' I might consider a case but until then I aren't bothering!

Front and back screen protectors for all three IP6.

My 6 Plus now has some protection and I am not one for cases. Much better for one handed operation and at least I can be a little less concerned about handling this beast.

Didn't use a case for the first few days I got my 6+ since I was waiting for my case to be shipped. It definitely made the phone even more unusable with one hand cause it was so slippery. I'm now using a spigen slim fit which adds very little bulk and has a nice grippy matte black texture. Highly recommended and it's only about $15

Have the 6 space gray since launch day and have rotate 3 cases around the phone. However this thread has inspired me to go caseless like I've always wanted to it been 4 days so far so good.

*knocks on wood*

Screen protector on the front and a clear skin on the back and sides to prevent scratches.

I'd rather buy applecare (which I did) than use a case.

I was going to not use a case because the phone is so pretty. sadly I'm a college student living on campus and I did drop my old phone a few times last semester, so keeping that in mind I purchased my all-time favorite case company's case: elago s6+ slimfit case. I actually like the look and feel of the phone better. No screen protector because I don't want to ruin the curved glass look. I did fine with my last phone without anything to protect it. But then again, it was an iPhone 5c.

I suppose in my current situation this is as close to naked as I dare to get with my phone. I considered transparent cases but they just don't look that good and plus they don't feel good either.
