Love it, can do do a proper 'how to' for those of us that are not technically minded? Preferably with photos or illustrations.
Hmm, I'm not sure if you're mocking me or not ;)

It's really simple – two larger tape strips that act as grip (I made sure they didn't cover the antenna strips). Try getting them as far out on the rounded edges as possible since this is where most of the grip is effective. As seen in the picture, I haven't been all that particular with this though. Then add a smaller strip that goes through the strap loop and is placed on the lower large strip. And finally another strip on top of it for extra security. I was a bit worried if the phone heating up might melt the tape glue, but that hasn't been an issue at all.

I really don't care about appearances (or second hand value) for my phone, but still I replaced the tape strips after about 6 months of uncaring use, since they get a bit "worn". Escecially around the rounded edges.

It's not pretty. But it is really functional. Even with not having the strap around my wrist, I still feel like it's a great extra security.

I agree with what you said about damage. I always opt for Apple Care, and now Apple Care Plus but not for protection against accidental damage.

Oh, that (robot) sounds very cool! Where did you order it from? I'd like to have one too!

I'm in the UK and almost every where here was sold out by the time I found about it. It was apparently released on Friday along with various other Star Wars based merchandise. I found one site here that said it still had stock and ordered it from there yesterday but my order is still processing with no movement yet. I'm going to call them tomorrow to check on my order. It's not cheap though and costs £129.99 here and $149.99 in the US.

As for the US you will probably have to hunt around as I don't know what retailers besides Amazon and the Disney stores are selling it there. Amazon US is out of stock right now but here is the link. You could check the Disney store or other possible online retailers that sell similar products.

I don't like bulky cases and I have hated every clear plastic case I have owned, except for one, The Moshi iGlaze XT. I love this case so much I purchased two of them, because it looks like every time I purchase a case I like, they stop making it. I really recommend this case.

I have a similar one by a company called innerexile. Bought it whilst in Singapore in August but it's available elsewhere too i believe.

Sorry but I thought you were joking. You really use the tape, sorry I wasn't taking the piss.

Anyone who's been using the iPhone 6 completely naked, (without case or protection) how has your phone been holding up in terms of scratches?? Especially the back?? I'm quite careful as to not drop my phone just concerned about scratches and would appreciate anyone who's been using it naked to come in help.

Thanks

Been using mine naked for a few months after my silicon case fell apart on me. Not one scratch anywhere so far but I am careful with my stuff.

I think knowing it does not have a case on has made me extra careful with it.

Case is must have for iPhone 6. They bend (a little) without cases and in environments with temperature higher than 29°C (normal daily use: walking, bike riding, in-car use etc.). I am back using case (Apple case), after bending problem (clicky screen effect near volume buttons), repaired by forced reverse-bend. 6s is the same design, I wait for 7÷7s now.

I completely agree. I've been using my phone caseless for the last 3 days. I love the feel of it. The leather and the silicon case just don't work for me anymore. Both are ripped and look dirty.

I have been using the phone as I was with the case. Have a dedicated pocket and keep my phone on the table back facing down. I'm careful when picking it up or not having to drag it across surfaces. So far the phone help up well, but it's just been out of the case for 3 days, hopefully I won't be having any problems in the coming weeks.

I don't care much about the back and sides but I got special pockets that will scratch the screen in one day without a screen protector. I honestly don't know how there are people that carry around their phones without screen protectors and their screens are perfect condition.

For all my iPhones I've never used a screen protector. I just have a dedicated pocket for my phone, no keys, coins or anything. The screen holds up really well in terms of scratches.

I have been tempted to want to rock my 6s+ naked since I no longer will have to worry about selling my phone each year ;)

The Apple leather case with a quality thick screen protector ... can't wait for this case to take on some wear.

I always go without a case. I just ordered a (PRODUCT)RED case for my 6S Plus to match my watch band, but I feel guilty already for buying it as I love to go without a case. The phone is too beautiful to cover it up.

The only problem I've at least encountered with the Apple leather case is that it rips over time and the colour wears off which at a point looks disgusting. I also have the silicon case, and feel the leather case is better than the former in terms of accessibility; putting and taking phone out from pocket . Have been rolling it naked these last 3 days and honestly it's been good. No scratches no dings. Hopefully it stays like this

I rocking mine ceaseless as well. No issues at all other than its slippery. I purchased a egrip for the back off Amazon. It's a thing rubbery grip that sticks to the back of the phone. It's clear and thin and works perfectly.

Even if my phone gets scratches it's fine with me. I'll just sell it for whatever I can get and use that money towards my next device. I would rather enjoy the device the way I prefer than to buy case and constantly worry about resale value or how it looks.

Not sure if your serious or not but you think that the iPhone 6 becomes bendable at just 29 degrees C and that an apple case can stop it bending?

I'm new to the iPhone, switching from android. How easy is it to scratch or break the glass? Does AppleCare fix or replace a phone if you break the glass?

AppleCare will fix or replace your phone once you pay the deductible. After using my plus without a case for months I have had no issues. No scratches. No dents. I just use my phone with care and should I damage my phone then I will just have to replace it.

Everything is a calculated risk it just depends on how much risk your will to accept I suppose.

I'm usually one to rock my iPhone's without a case but with the 6/6s these things are just too slippery for me to be case-less on a daily basis. On the 6 I usually have either a blue Apple leather case or a Evutec Karbon snap on which is really thin and adds a nice amount of grip. Gonna continue using both with the 6s since those will fit that phone as well.

Apple leather case Midnight blue when I'm not at home. The Apple leather case is the only one I would put on my phone. It's quality, aesthetically classy, and super sleek. Also it will match the new 42mm Gold Apple Watch.

I want to keep my phone looking as good as possible because I plan to sell it and the the iPhone 7 next year. But I don't need a super protective case, because I don't drop my phone much.
