Well Kuo and Macrumors also hinted at MicroLed for Series 6 but whether true or not 'Always on', a compass and appalling trade in values still doesn't financially justify upgrading from a Stainless Steel S4 to a S5..

I had the original AW. Recently sold it and plan on getting the 5. I figure if the 6 comes out and is amazing and a big upgrade, I can give the 5 to my wife (who has a 3) and get the 6 :)

$110? I checked twice and it said $120 both times. Either way, it's SUPER offensive of Apple. Last year the trade for AW3 was $250. Bad, but not as bad as $120. Absolutely ridiculous.

Offensive, agree - mine is the AW4 SS 40mm and getting £80 trade in value...
Not upgrading - would be great if they just give us always on via firmware update

Upgrading from a S4 40mm aluminum Silver to a S5 44mm Stainless Steel Space Black so there is a big difference for me. Keeping the S4 as a vacation watch but next year it will be tough to justify upgrading. Always on was the feature I had been asking for so I had to do it.

Keeping my Series 4 Hermes 44mm for another year, the processor (as revealed yesterday by the latest MacRumors article) in the series 5 is the exact same processor as the one in the Series 4 so the series 5 is absolutely unnecessary to say the least and I could honestly care less about an Always ON display, I actually prefer to have the screen off when not in use.

I’m almost considering “upgrading” my S4 aluminum to a used S4 stainless. I've never had one of those, and used prices are pretty low.

With articles coming out that the S5 doesn’t offer a processor bump I’m really starting to wonder about upgrading.

If you have an S4, then it wouldn’t be necessary to upgrade, unless you really want the ‘always on display and compass’. Of course, that also excludes if you’re not interested in the new casing material [Titanium] Apple is offering.

Staying with the Series 4 myself. Just can't justify the cost of the Series 5, same chip and potentially slightly worse battery life overall. From what I've seen/read they meet the same "claim" but the Series 4 has always far exceeded Apple's 18 hour claim.

Staying with S4, there's not enough about S5 to motivate me since I stick with Aluminum GPS only. I previously mentioned that Always On Display didn't mean much to me as I'd never use it. Yesterday, I had an epiphany and was in a situation where it would be very nice to have. While cycling I was using an app to track my activity and I'd tap the display, it came on briefly and went off again. Between trying to steer the bike and trying to open up the app, it sure would have been nice to have, especially if it can be toggled on/off. Most of the time I'd probably keep it off or at the very least during business meetings.

Same here, though in my case I'd like Always On, just not enough to upgrade this time. In fact, it'd hardly feel like an upgrade at all. The only temptation for me is the SBSS Hermes. If it's not available as a S6, oh well. I'm happy with SS and all my bands go with it so...

i wish someone would buy me the Hermes! ;)

Sold and Bought last week on Swappa, right after the announcement.
Sweet. I’ve been eying swappa and don’t see anything below 450 now. Good to know I can wait and see what I can find. I’m trying to sell locally and am getting offers at 260, which isn’t terrible, so I will see what happens :). thanks!

Wasn’t planning on upgrading to the 5 from my GPS 4 but Sprint is running a promotion where you can get the new aluminum Apple watches for half off.

Figured why not do it ... now I’ll have an LTE watch so it’ll feel like a step up anyway.
