Do you expect me to believe that?

I don't care even it were true, your words speak clearly.

Why would I care if you believe I have owned 6 iPhones and 3 iPads? I have several boxes as proof, actually I'll take a picture....

That enough proof? Of course I don't have the older boxes, never thought to keep them.

I don't know what industry you are in but unless you are high on the food chain in Apple the veracity of your comments cannot be verified. You can't reverse engineer apples financials to fit your use case. You can try, but I would think its next to impossible.

Come now, we are all speculating here.

My experience in the CE industry tells me that the carriers and Apple have transitioned from the customer acquisition model to the max profitability model. Instead of extraordinary subsidies, carriers are charging full price for the phones. Instead of breakthrough features, Apple is looking to reduce returns and force consumers to a closed headphone system. When innovation dries up and a reduction in unit sales are inevitable, smart companies baton down the hatches and seek to increase profits to the degree that top-line sales decrease. That's what's going on here.

Didn't you know?If you are on Macrumors it is mandatory to praise Apple and giving constructive criticism means you are a a hater

I myself own more than 3000 bucks of Apple hardware and am accused frequently for pointing out Facts on this forum
There's definitely something like constructive criticism, it's just not what usually comes up here.

Apple is looking to reduce returns and force consumers to a closed headphone system.

So your comment revolves around this assessment.

Apple didn't release any phone without a 3.5mm jack.

Can you save it for after Apple actually releases their phone, and not revolve around sketchy rumors?

I don't care, you could have found that on the internet, could be of your siblings.

Considering recent history apple has been pretty bad on containing leaks, so i wouldn't call them sketchy.

That is why I posted a pic with my username in the middle written on paper...

If I wanted to, I could go into my agency's inventory room, with my user name on a piece of paper, and place it in front of HP laptop boxes, Dell, Macs, iPads, and iPhones. No Galaxy boxes since we dumped Android after several disastrous experiences.

Would it prove that I currently have one iPhone 6s, one iPhone 6s Plus, one Lumia 1520, one BlackBerry Passport, and one Samsung SGS7 currently in use? Or that I've had a Samsung SGS 2, 3, Note 4 and Note 5? No, it proves that I have access to loads of tech that are not necessarily mine.

What I have read is that you have a love of Samsung products. A review of your post history shows that.

Maximum profitability is nothing new in the last 100 years, so let's get that on the table. Closed headphone system for pure profit is speculation. Innovation will never dry up because people will always find a way to do something better, faster, less expensively with more functionality. Apple( and most other companies) historically does not operate on the principle "customer be damned" at all costs.

You looked back more than 1 week of posts? I have nothing but praise for iPhones. This is getting ridiculous, I laughed at a funny picture and people are now saying I love Samsung and haven't owned iPhones? You really think I'm in some warehouse or something taking pictures of boxes? It's an ikea bookshelf in my home office...

Yup. I did.

Like this one.

Touch ID on my 5S was a POS but on my 6, 6s plus and SE it has been flawless.

You love Touch ID. But by and large, taken as a whole, the posts are mainly negative.

Yeah I'm praising the touch id in my 6, 6S + and SE... They are iPhones.

You are talking rubbish, here, a pic of my iPad Pro.

yoewmAl.jpg

But no, I hate apple products....

Of course they're iPhones. You answered before I expanded as to why I posted that specific quote.

Why am I talking rubbish? What I said is in fact true. I can go and put a sticky on a Mac laptop with my name on it and it wouldn't prove that it's mine.

My point isn't that you don't have iPhones. My point is that your picture doesn't prove anything, it's inconclusive. My point is also that in your post history there is an awful lot of anti iPhone/Apple comments. While constructive criticism is one thing, when it's a consistent tirade of anti whatever, chances are the poster isn't too keen on the thing he's consistently posting against.

That's what's tiring in these tech forums and why I don't visit them anymore. When you've got posters constantly bashing the product in a tech site dedicated to the product, and posters with multiple personas posting negatively about that product bemoaning not being able to post "constructive criticisms," it becomes tiring. And the best solution is to go away and let the tirades continue without participating in them.

Which is why I don't visit Android forums. The product is trash, in my opinion. So I don't go to XDA or Android Central or Android Forums and stand on a sandbox and scream to the high heavens why I feel the product is trash.

I am excited for the new iPhone. I have plenty of grumpy feedback on the rumors so far -- Apple fan here, not an Apple fanatic -- but so far I think it will be far and away the best phone I can buy when hardware and software are considered together. Rumored Nexus and the most recent Samsung phones have an appeal, but there isn't enough there -- thinking over a couple of years of ownership -- to make me jump. I don't care that iPhone 7 will look like the 6 and 6s; that's a very nice design. My biggest challenge will be camera differentiation between the 7 and 7 plus, assuming rumors are true. Camera is a big deal to me. But pocketable size for running, cycling, skiing, hiking, etc. is a big deal too. I'm a good size (and fit) person, but lugging the 5.5 inch screen phone around isn't my preference. Now I will admit that with my aging eyes -- no spring chicken here -- larger screen does offer some advantages. I guess having a choice is not so bad is it?

And going through your posts I find nothing but Android bashing and *insert dreaded fan... word here* everywhere. So let me get this straight. Is this site a fanclub where you only post if we have something good to say?

Your logic is pretty twisted.A guy can own Samsung and Apple and prefer one of them at the same time whilst still liking both.

Yup. I am in MacRumours posting that I love my Apple products and that I'm absolutely satisfied with them and that Samsung is a piece of trash in my opinion and that Android is a disaster in my opinion.

See, I'm doing that on an Apple centric site expressing my satisfaction with Apple products. Mon Dieu!!!! THE AUDACITY!!!!!

You can post what you want. But don't get wrapped around the axel if your posts are shown to be either a cry for attention or a trashing of a product on a site dedicated to that product.

Which I wonder.....why....

Yup you can like more than one platform. I love my Lumia. My SGS7......trash bin.....

I have been on the Apple train since my first iPod (I think it was third gen by the time I could finally save up enough to buy one)... I am fully engulfed in the Apple Ecosystem: iTunes, iPad, Apple TV, MacBook Pro... The list goes on...

I really think Samsung has stepped up their game in the past two years, and I really do not like the removal of the headphone jack as I listen to music and books often... I also have several pairs of high end headphones for different situations...

I did not have a good experience with a GS3 I owned, I did not like the GS5 either. The GS6 is nice, but Android has never felt smooth enough... Gonna be tough to choose what to do, but my 6+ is a little banged up and needs to be replaced.

Yup. It says that I'm not into little green robots that come into a screeching halt after I try to upgrade them the first time.

You don't like a Lumia. Fine. I like them. See how that works?

Oh.....and I've got every app I need in my Lumia. So try again. The little green robot is doing great work. As a coaster.

I notice it's getting harder and harder to get excited about the new iPhone launches. Why do you think it is? Are we just to spoiled by all the great technology? Or has Apple really failed to innovate ?

You might not be, but I am.

I'm always excited to get bumps in performance from all aspects of the device I use every hour of every day. :)

Also, this whole 'innovate' thing drives me nuts. There are only so many ways to revolutionize an existing device. The overwhelming majority of changes to smartphones are going to be evolutionary. People that expect revolutionary innovations year after year are just going to be constantly disappointed.

I don't know about 'revolutionary innovations'. Touch ID was a game-changer and it has evolved into using touch id on websites. (As an aside people have said websites like amazon, zappos already have my credit card, so website touch id is unnecessary, yet there is this need to defend the use of a "pay" at the store? Double standards around here, but I digress). I don't know how many touch ids innovations a company has. Retinal scanning isn't even close. I can use touch id to unlock my phone as I take it from my pocket, very convenient.

Bottom line, I'll settle on plain ol' innovations, of which, there always is a few in each iphone keynote.

I'm going out, find a Ferrari or a Lambo, and then put my username...

Done! I have a Ferrari and therefore, all my opinions HAVE to be accepted by all forum members, because I have a Ferrari!

When will you learn?

'Force'. o_O

3.5mm to lightning adapters are already starting to show up. Almost certainly, Apple will also provide a solution for that. No one is forcing anyone into a 'closed' headphone system.

Potentially the first iPhone that I probably won't upgrade to unless apple have done something amazing. Have had every phone since the 3G.
