seems like I'm the only one on the forum that orderd the 7. Idk how he plus got so popular this year.

Isn't it a hassle to use with one hand? I mean it's bigger the note...

It is but I don't care about one handed usage. For me better battery life and coming from a Note 4 I can't go back to a smaller screen.

I had a 6S Plus for one year and despite loving the phone I realised it was a bit clunky in my pockets. So I jumped to a 4.7 iPhone 7 and somehow I missed the big screen so much. It was really really hard to readapt myself to the 4.7 inch, so after 6 days I decided to return it and go for a 7 Plus. Even though I think the Plus is a not a very well designed phone, I can live with that trade-off as long as I have a bigger screen. All in all, go for a Plus really. It is the same price as an iPhone 7 with compulsory battery case (yes, that is another issue...battery on the smaller model is simply awful compared to the Plus)

The 'blur the background' effect, also known as bokeh, is actually quite a big deal, especially for a smartphone. Its only a matter of time until 3rd party apps figure out other unique ways of using both cameras. Its also an optical zoom, not just a digital, which means much sharper photos at 2x.

I have done digital photography for years and years and will be quite interested in how the software does this blurred background. I have seen Apple's samples and they look good as you would expect them too. Let's see what the bokeh looks like in the users hands. Looking forward to it.

I would have bought the Plus no matter what as I loved my 6 Plus for its size screen, keyboard and battery, so the twin cameras was just icing on the cake for me.

I haven't seen the keynote so I may be wrong but isn't the only Benifit of the duel cam is to 2x zoom instantly and blur the background?

Seem like a waste of money unless the pics come out actually clearer/more vibrant..

Blur background is a big deal. Bigger deal than Live Photo of 6s.

7 jet black here. Size so convenient, especially when traveling and running between meeting. While I'm tempted by the +, the size is really a deterrent.

I had a 7 for a week. Until they get the battery life sorted out the 7+ was a no brainer. I can't be by a charger all day.
It's a shame because I think the 7 is a better phone.

That's why external batteries are made. I still carry one in my bag, need it from time to time especially during long time lapse shooting

The 4.7" model is no longer Apple's flagship phone.

You buy the 7 for the size preference but Apple's best phone is the 7+.

I would like to see Apple bump the regular model to 5", make it 1080p and identical to the Plus in all ways other than size (and battery capacity obviously)

I had my 7 since launch and I love it. Me being a female with small hands it's the perfect size. I don't do anything too fancy on my phone and the plus is just too big. I love it.

If no one's buying regular 7's then why do they have the lowest availability of all the models out there?
Apple adjusts the production mix of regular vs Plus models each year. The trend has been the Plus model gaining popularity, and for the first time it's outselling the 4.7" phone. This time Apple ramped up production of the Plus at the expense of the 4.7" model.

i am thinking about getting the 7, anyone going from a 6s to the 7 see any differences?

Regular usually outsells plus. This is an enthusiast forum so you should expect that the plus will be more popular amongst enthusiasts.

I went from a regular 6 to a regular 7 primarily because it wasnt that much more costly than paying to have my battery changed on the 6 (T-mobile promo).

The 7 Seems like a refined version of the 6 - it's nice. Id consider a plus if they can bring the size down.

I've never been a fan of the plus. It's just too big for me personally. SE and the regular are the only things on my radar.

Got the 7. 7+ way to big for me. If I want to use a tablet I'll use a tablet. 7 is borderline to big actually in my opinion.

I just checked the inventory for best buy stores in a 250 mile radius around me, NO plus models at all - ALOT of regular 7's in every color available

1. for the first time the plus had something the 4.7 inch size didn't - a better camera. that was an influence while the 7 is not much different from a 6 or 6s.

2. the supply for the 7 was adequate for pre-orders so those who ordered 7s have been mostly quite while those who ordered 7+ (especially jet back) have been incessantly complaining about their late delivery dates so that's all we've heard about.

silver 128GB 7 here

I got a 7. I feel it's just the right size for a phone , browsing & taking general snaps, if I really need shallow DOF I would use my camera .
The dual camera does look interesting but not enough for me to have a large phone for .

Maybe next one iPhone 8 will get dual camera on the standard size

I purchased a 7 plus today an I'm taking it back for a 7.
I actually find it awkward to hold, the top and bottom bezels are to big and I'm finding the hardware design looks awful in a big phone.
The screen and cameras are fantastic but I really wish Apple had brought out something like the size of the Samsung S7 edge.

the top and bottom bezels are the same height between them all. my 7 Plus bezels are just as big (not width) as the ones on my SE.

the S7e and 7 Plus both have a 5.5" screen. I had my 7 Plus (with case) side-by-side with my brother's S7e (with case), and they were physically similar in size.

if you're only going to have one, I'd go for the 4.7". the keyboard on the 4" is just too ridiculously small. and then you're left with an even smaller viewing area above the keyboard. (I also have Swype and SwiftKey.)

I am not saying you're wrong but that's funny because the SE's keyboard was the iPhone's keyboard for 7 years and we survived!
