No. I was pretty disappointed at the size of the X. Coming from as a Plus user. But I am trying to get use to the X size now. It's been exactly a week, feels better now. But if I watch another youtube video on a Plus, I will be hating my X. It's just the fact...

I'm so on the fence of getting an X due to the size difference and the price as I'm not sure if the 1000 price tag is worth it for this phone. I have a 7 plus and I could've reserved an X yesterday but I didn't want to until I saw it in person. So I checked it out yesterday and I actually really love the screen and the overall size of the phone. But I just wasn't impressed enough where I was ready to purchase it. I think I will need to see it again.
[doublepost=1510345903][/doublepost]Also, if there was a plus version out now I would probably be more interested in getting it. However I cannot imagine what the price tag would be for that.

I guess this is a pretty much interesting comparative to look at!

Considering the notch, considering the rounded corners that lose a portion of the screen, the lateral parts which are narrower , the Virtual Home Bar (always in the foreground and which does not allow you to interact with things displayed below it), the display area is actually inferior on iPhone X than iPhone 8 Plus.

For what it’s worth, this is what we Plus user mean when we say that X has "smaller display area", and that’s why I personally find my self more comfortable using the Plus instead of the X!

I have used the X for 6 days now. I must say, I am having problems adjusting to the X from the 7+. I am no more able to use Swype with a thumb, due to the smaller size keyboard in X over 7+ in portrait mode. Even with the forefinger I am having a lot of errors. I am hoping I get used to it pretty soon, otherwise, I will return this and buy an 8+. I like the size of the phone in my pocket. I don't watch much movies on this. I use it for emails and apple news.

My wish is iPhone X+ in metal case, for wireless charge Apple can make the Apple logo in the back bigger and made of glass

I'd like to have an X+ big like an 8+, but bezeless (or nearly), a notch well-rescaled and I'm honestly not too convinced of the face id: I like, for instance, that if I'm holding the iPhone in my hands, on the lock screen, and I see "notifications" I need to tap with my finger to authorize and unlock notifications; very useful if you are close to friends or co-workers and receiving notifications from family members.
In X scenario, while I’m sitting at the table next to my colleagues in the same moment I look at the phone I automatically authorize and unlock notification: I don’t really like it.

Even for purchases on the store: did you happen to mistake and almost buy an app?
By requiring the touch id permission, just click "cancel" and everything get resolved.
All this is done by keeping your eyes on the phone, of course; and if just holding my eyes on the cellphone I accidentally click on an app, the Face ID technology just needs you to look to authorize (am i right?), how could you do it to undo the operation?

I think and hope that will be soon introduced various stages of permissions, throughout the next months/year, in order to protect the user, even in the case of accidental errors or rethinking.

What if Apple confirms a glass back for wireless charge, and a Touch ID sensor (for additional permissions) hidden in the Apple logo???
Am I dreaming here??

Screen size hasn’t really been an issue for me thus far I’m adjusting. I loved my 7 plus in terms of the screen size but the trade off was definitely at times the phone wasn’t comfortable to hold one handed.

The X on the other hand feels lovely in one hand but the only time I miss the plus a little is watching videos.

My other slight worry was that the battery in the smaller X wouldn’t hold up as well. But so far so good.

I thought that I would have issues with the shrink, there are even quite a few posts from me in other threads debating about returning it for a Plus last weekend.
A week later I love the size, have gotten used to it, and the display. I like the size, and anything like reading I do in landscape and there is nothing really lost and the screen is very crisp so the letters look well defined.
I will be keeping my X, but if the bigger version of it comes out next year I will debate going back to the larger footprint for the larger battery first, then the screen space. Battery on X has been great, but I know if I had an 8+ I would think that they have a never ending cell in there.

Well... you have 14 days to check it out. Also, don’t hold your breath for a plus size. I don’t believe that’s ever going to happen.

It will come. Once the ‘bigger phone’ genie is out of the bottle Apple can’t ignore it. Maybe next year there will be an LED iphone 9 in non-plus only, an XI and an XI+.

I believe Apple will introduce a larger iPhone X next year. Though it will be slightly wider, it most likely will be smaller than the current iPhone 8+ form factor, which for me would be a win-win. I like the larger size for my eyes, the keyboard, quite possibly more battery life .

Agreed. It just needs to be 5mm or so wider to be plus sized width wise. It is already a taller screen than the plus so don’t see the need for a taller phone next time round.

I wouldn’t want a tall phone again like my plus. I was beginning to tire of it. Loved the screen size but not the height of the phone.

Have adjusted to the X without any problems but would seriously consider a wider but not taller version of the X next year if it appears.

Remind everyone the iPhone X was to replace the 6,7,8 users not the plus users. The iPhone 8 plus still has the larger screen and is still Apples flagship imho. Next year there maybe a X plus, which will be the one I switch too.

Before arguing saying the X screen is larger because of false numbers, watch this video.

I can not understand why to discuss in the first place!
There are those who had a Plus and they were not even interested.
The curious Plus users who have tried it and decided they prefer not to diminish the viewing area of content on the screen.
Plus users who have managed to adapt and live with a particular aspect ratio and a little smaller display (in my opinion, maybe tired of a design already maintaned in 1-2 or maybe 3 models over the years)!

But that been said, there’s no need to be convinced that there is a "better" phone than another: in my opinion there are needs, preferences and the will to compromise in order to change technology and to have the latest product on the market, even if that product does not fully meet our preferences.

Agree. I don't want a taller phone than the X, either. That was my main concern with my 6 and 7 Plus. But I'd be happy with a slight increase in width.

Not for me. The X did in fact replace my Plus 7, and I knew precisely what I was getting. "Flagship" and "size" aren't necessary equivalent, either. The X has several features that the 8/8 Plus lack and that will probably migrate to other iPhones in coming years. That's not a knock on the 8 Plus, but if you want these features you can only get them in the X, for now.

You'll be going backwards & placing form factor ahead of screen size.

If you favour screen size over form factor, then it won't be for you.

The X is more for non-plus owners.

I disagree. If you’ve been using iPhone plus sizes, this is easily the right phone for you since the screen is a little bigger.

Could you explain why this would not be ideal for plus sizes users?

I'm loving the size of the iphone x. After so many years with the plus models, and them leaving imprints and holes in my jeans the iphone x is a revelation. Also a lot easier to hold and handle one handed.

I’m so used to the display size (not the whole phone size) of iPhone 7 Plus, and even though I only had the Plus for couple of months,I just cannot stand small screen size of standard iPhones anymore.

So I’m thinking about pre-ordering an iPhone X,I believed the numbers and thought it’s gonna be same screen size but smaller form factor.(perfect)

But now everyone is talking about iPhone X display size being more similar to standard iPhones rather than Plus due to screen ratio, notch etc

Are there other iPhone Plus owners worried about iPhone X display size?

The iPhone X display size is way bigger than the standard iPhone screen.

iPhone X has a smaller display area compared to iPhone Plus. This has been proven mathematically.

A lot of Plus users prefer the width of the Plus keyboard.

Screen wise, the iPhone 8 plus is wider but not taller. Please look at the video above to verify, but yes the normal size iPhone 8 is about the same as the iPhone X. Way bigger is subjective and I would say it is bigger but not way bigger.
