Everything points to the fact that all the 14 series will still use their dreadful flickering OLED displays — so no new iPhone for me… yet again.
Beautifully put ❣️📱❣️Anything bigger than the Mini feels like something I have to think about carrying. The Mini disappears in my pocket and has all the functionality that I need when I need it.
I'm so glad I don't need to waste $$$ this year on an upgrade. I'm so past it now. I couldn't care less about having the latest phone - unless it really does something amazing. These iterative updates.. yawn.
when was the last time an iphone release wasn't a disappointment?

Perhaps a shiny new SE is in your future(s)❓♥️📱 Seems a relatively fantastic—and affordable—tie-over until any bigger, better, LCD-equipped potential future iPhone. As long as it has an OLED screen it will be a disappointment.
That's what I'd be doing. I thought about a 13 last year, but it was around this time that we were being told that the 14 would get a lot of the exciting things that were being worked on--that the 14 would be a bigger update (sound familiar?).What about from an 8?
Wow, you and I followed basically the same trajectory. Loathed the wide-load, bar-soap form factor of my 6 and ran back to the iPhone 5 chassis I dearly loved in the form of the first SE. I had since moved on to bigger devices but I am now comfy and satisfied with my green mini baby.I used to love - LOVE - the excitement of a new device..
Right up until the 6.
That slippery bar of soap got just a bit too big in hand for me and I was back to the SE as soon as it came out (along with 6s models) and I've never budged again.
They basically eliminated me as an iPhone hardware purchaser due to making every option large, larger or huge.
The Mini was close enough for me to consider going to it at some point, but they now nuked that also.
So frustrating how not diverse the iPhone lineup actually is.
>Touch IDIf it has touch ID on it, I will buy it. Under screen, on the home button, either way.
I haven’t skipped a year since 2012 / iPhone 5. But knowing that Apple is finally going to use USB-C next year makes me want to skip this year, and get a double upgrade next year.
Been doing the same thing with my Apple Watch Series 5. the upgrades since then are so marginal, so I’m holding off till the alleged “flat-edged” model comes out.
