My next inquiry is whether anyone has successfully exchanged or swapped their iPhone for one that does not present the issue. I have the issue, and I am a little lost in where this forum is going...
I have tried to massage the screen, but it doesn't seem to be helping the issue. I think it may be a bit of a placebo effect - not suggesting that others haven't had success.
I would be the first in line to exchange, if I knew there was a chance of the issue being resolved (or non-existent) on the swap device. As I understand the issue, it is presenting on all 6s plus devices - the differing factor is that people either can or cannot see it.
I'm talking about apple replacements. 4 because of yellow tinted screen. 4S because of reception issues. 5 with scratches and chips out the box. 6 with a loose screen.
Uh no. The problem is not me. It's the phone. Would you accept a 800$ device where the screen is loose? Outta here.
Am I correct to think that most, if not all, 6s Plus iPhones are affected by this?
so having noticed that the right hand side edge of the screen on my 6S plus is slightly blue (its like a 3mm stripe of bluer white running down the edge of the screen - I believe the term is 'book spine effect') I've become minority obsessed with 6S plus screens! Having looked at about 20 phones on display (across 3 of London's Apple stores) I can conclude:
- they all have this blue book spine to a greater or lesser degree
- they all have the pressure spot (from the haptic engine) in the lower left corner (again to a greater or lesser degree)
- the colour temperatures are pretty variable
So unless you've got a really duff one, you're pretty statistically unlikely to get a 'perfect' (if such a thing exists) screen playing the return/exchange lottery.

For anybody concerned about keeping the phone past your return period. I was told by one of the Apple Store managers that this defect should be covered by the 1 year warrenty. So if and when Apple knows what the issue is and can fix it. It should be free service.

Thanks for this piece of info, I will probably do this a bit later on.
Is anyone else planning to do the same?
Correct. It's s manufacturing defect. Those are officially covered - year after purchase, though Apple typically takes care of them long after that as well. This is the standard warranty, and not AC+ ?

I returned my 64GB Rose Gold because of the Pressure poit defect hard to see but its there and will Only Grow as teh screen ages.
My Apple store set asside a new Second Batch of the Rose Gold you can tell by the SERIAL number which phones are from the second printing or new run.
This one is PERFECT and the Display has to be 400nits Its SUPER BRight and colorfull Apple really did something they just won't admit it.
If there is really a second revision of these phones, the people in this thread are going to attack all of the apple stores asking for a specific serial number or factory. I can't wait to see the madness, just like the retina macbook pro screen craziness.what's difference in the serial if you can share? Factory and week would be sufficient.
What production week do you see in your serial number?I returned my 64GB Rose Gold because of the Pressure poit defect hard to see but its there and will Only Grow as teh screen ages.

Not wanting to be pedantic, but this is just speculation. Whilst this blemish does exist, I don't believe any proof exists as to what exactly is causing it.

I'd like to post that but for a few reasons I won't #1. Currently working with a lawyer to see if he takes the case on a contigency basis #2. Its too easy to decipher my Serial Number by posting this maybe you can't but others out there can I've seen it done.
Also theres tons of videos of whats happening on YouTube some worse some less But everything from Pressure Points, Yellowish Tint to white, and others its definite worth a Display Gate issue had Kim Kardasian posted Apple would have responded but right now its a bunch of no bodies. Posting on forums
Also Apple will only respond if its out of the "NOrm" so many displays they expect a certain percentage of defective phones period that is normal. They only test 100 out of each 1,000 batch.
Now if a reported defect exceeds a certain number they they take a closer look. who knows if theres a cover up why Apple made a revision so quick. Why?

I think I might owe dL a drink.
I've been doing El Capitan installs today and watching the rugby, so I've had quite a bit of free time. I've been trying the screen massage as noted by dL and yes, it's definitely made a difference. It has taken a lot (and I mean that) of time to do this, though.
The shadow is still there but I now have to look for it and it might just have made the difference between keeping the phone and returning it. I'm withholding judgement until I've tried some usage under different lighting conditions but yes, this looks to have helped at the moment.
Sadly, I didn't take any photos as I wasn't really expecting it to help, if I'm honest!
