I can confirm with the above poster that my replacement week 43 DOES NOT have this pressure point blemish. This is my 5th return for various reasons and will absolutely be my last. I said my fourth was the last and look where I am. Keep in mind these returns weren't just for this reason although all 5 had it to some degree but in any event my new device does not. What is funny is that my week 43 I just returned had it on both sides...go figure. Not sure if there was a change in production or just pot luck but here are two instances where a week 43 build does not have this mark to the left.

Did you get a replacement or just return and buy again?

I have a week 43 build 6S+ silver SIM free and it has a perfect screen
really? no uneven display lightning?

please confirm by loading up an image of pure black and set the brightness to max, and view this in a dark place so you get a good look at the display. No weird areas where it looks brighter than the rest of the device? because my phone has several.

Any pics of these unblemished displays?

Top half looks MUCH dimmer than the bottom half in that photo in white.

Despite seeing this thread, on Friday I changed my 6S for the 6S Plus. Upon first turning it on I was super happy to find an absolutely perfect cool blue screen, no yellow tint, no uneven display, totally uniform. And then, only then, I remember this thread and look to the lower left corner of screen, and lo and ****ing behold, i have that pressure point blemish. And, no matter how often I try to ignore it, my eyes instantly try to find it.

I don't know whether to try swapping it since everything else on the screen is perfect and it seems most of the 6S Pluses have this damn blemish.

Decisions, decisions...

They don't all have it. The majority do,

You got a good screen in comparison to the 6s Plus' I've seen. I do see the slight backlight bleed at the top of the screen, and what could be dark patches on several areas. but, it's very minor.

Don't you have one right in front of you? I thought you were the one who saw your co-workers and went and reserved one that didn't have this.

I do, and I have seen two others that I would consider good. But I browsed around at the Apple store on Monday and it was all the same poor units on display. I'm just wondering if it is really fixed.

This thread isn't about uniformity its about the pressure point. I believe there is another thread for that. Back on topic I have seen another co-worker today who purchased one yesterday week 43 as well whose unit does not have this defect so its sounds more convincing this may have been addressed in the later builds.

I wonder if the units at the store are still the ones they put out at launch because you are right the ones while I was picking up mine looked terrible. Not a good selling point if things have improved IMO

I opened 2 iPhone 6s plus' today @ my local Apple Store. One did not have the blemish, the other had it so minor the average eye will not see it.

So it would seem the pressure point/blemish has not been fixed. Or at least it's still present on one of the phones I opened today

Yea as I mentioned in my previous post my fourth replacement was a week 43 that had the pressure point on both sides and my fifth replacement does not. Maybe different batches who knows but it will definitely be telling when the week 44 forward starts rolling into the stores.

I wonder how long it will take the 43s to get into the replacement stock?

Wait any longer and your going to have all our returns from this issue and others start coming through the refurb line : )

I have the blemish on the lower left side of my screen. This is a replacement unit I got about 2 weeks ago. I replaced a launch unit due to problems with the camera. I'm a little upset because my original unit had a great screen, I had no idea this problem even existed until I got my replacement.

I'm going on Friday night to get this looked at and hopefully replaced.

Also, how do I determine the manufacturing date of my phone?

Here: http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html type in your serial and it will tell you what week it was built.

For the people who have exchanged the last couple days which software version on the replacement phones or new in box 9.1 or 9.0.2?

If you're referring to the last pic, yes that's a result of uneven lighting when the phone was held in a horizontal viewing angle while taking the picture. Nearly every LCD would exhibit that gradient

White some of the time but switches to green and red? I'd take that sucker back.:p

:D

Is this a 6s plus 128gb sim free?

Yes
