My Samsung tablet has a perfect LCD screen, as does my kitchen TV. Not to mention that my 6+, iPhone 5 and i4 had way nicer screens.
Sure they are perfect. As long as you don't go raising the brightness to max or look closely for flaws. I've owned countless LCD's. None were perfect.

BTW, I believe your Samsung tablet features an OLED display?

No, it has an LCD. It's one of their cheaper tablets and a couple of years old now. I only bought it to see if I would use a tablet and I don't use it all that much really.

Compared to my 6S+ display it's perfect. There are no shadows, colour changes, blotches, pressure points, and no lightbleed. Heck my 6+ screen was pretty perfect so it can be done. I just think that adding 3D Touch has brought in some new manufacturing issues this year.

Your kitchen TV as well as your tablet are edge lit. Impossible for a perfectly uniform display. I believe you when you say they look great but perfect? Can't be.

Completely acceptable then, not once have I ever noticed any flaws and I inspected my tablet display very critically the other week in the light of this 6S+ issue. I'm not bigging up Samsung here, I'm just saying that good LCDs are possible. Like I said, my 6+ had a good display too.

Not looking for flaws anyone can see it. Others have posted pics why can't I? It's my money if I want one without obvious defects. It's my choice.
If it's an obvious defect then there would not be a need for full white screens with the brightness all the way up. Or downloading an app. If it were obvious it would be there at first glance without looking for it.

Flawed logic.

I noticed the uneven uniformity of my 6s display which did NOT require me to max the brightness of anything.

To confirm it, however, I did need to, and there's no problem with that.

I also confirmed by viewing an image both in its normal orientation and at 180 degrees while viewing the phone so that the image was upright. By doing this, I was able to confirm my initial suspicions.

After some days with max backlight on nights the flaw at the top has gone off.

Cool beans. But I wasn't referring to your situation. If I had been, I would have quoted you as I'm doing now.

It shows without the brightness right out of the box. I wanted to see how my overall screen looked compared to the others. I know how it looks more than you. I own it. Speak for yourself.

OK. Fair enough. This post sounded as if you were looking for a flaw, or that you were looking for the means to test the screen for the presence of the flaw.

Can someone tell me how to get a full white screen like this to test it? Also for these pics are they on full brightness? Thanks for your help I'm not a very good techie.

Just go to the Apple Store. I'm sure they would not have a problem replacing any obvious flaws.

The thing is that the problem is not limited to the 6s plus. I have the 6s and the top part of the screen is definitely darker. I have to admit though that i didn't notice it at first but after reading about it everywhere i rotated the phone to landscape and it struck me. Now its there everytime :(

Still on my 5th. It's a Samsung and it has the pressure point at the lower left, the binding thing at the top, a pretty nasty overall blue tint to the whole screen, a loose mute switch and the unlock lag. However, it's much faster than the others I've had. There is so much variation between all of these phones and it's annoying. I'm seriously considering keeping this one despite all its flaws purely because a) I'm sick to death of visiting the Apple store and b) this thing flies. Why is it so much faster than my previous phones? The UI is instantaneous and web browsing is so fast it makes me laugh! It's like I got a ridiculously fast overclocked chip or something.

Just came back from the Apple Store. My replacement unit had the exact same problem. The technician was nice enough to open up another replacement unit to check its screen too. It also had the exact same problem and was immediately noticeable.

I think the entire replacement stock of my local Apple Store is filled with Bum units.

Even two weeks later I got another Production week : -39- (October) Unit.

All 3 of my 6S Plus had/has the little dark area, all to varying degrees. Fortunately, my third one has it the least pronounced of the three. If I had gotten this one first I may not have been able to find the spot. I only see it because I already knew exactly where to look.

What week?

I returned it. They are getting more next week. Mine was week 41 not a good one.

I'm going to swap mine on Saturday for a loose headphone jack and I expect to get one with the blemish. Hopefully it won't be any worse.

its a 6S+ and the screens perfect, i have a digital microscope at work hooked upto a HD screen
I just got a 6s Plus 128gb for AT&T a few days ago. I've looked at it in every light, brightness, etc. And I see absolutely nothing wrong with mine. It looks just like yours.
