You could go nuts and just buy 5 at once and keep the best one. No rules against that, I don't think. lol.

Not a terrible idea actually. It sure would save time. I was getting a little aggravated with the 3 trips I made to the Apple Store this week to keep exchanging phones.

If anyone does this make sure you don't let on to the sales rep. I reserved two, everything was good, the rep even agreed to allow me to open them before purchasing them, until I explain why, (I explained I was only going to keep one) it was at this point he said I had to purchase the iPhone's before I could open them

Same thing applies if buy through Apple Online. I even tried to set the quantity to 5 of sim-free iPhones. It would work. I would think ordering them separately would be better and easier on return process. Plus Apple online website's return process is breeze.

If you were going to do that it seems three would be more reasonable. I've always returned my online orders in the Apple store. Too much hassle to box up and send back.

You're right. 5 is excessive. I would think 3 is sufficient. For me, Apple online is better because nearest Apple store is a hour away via long stretch of highway. Plus, Fedex office is 10 mins away and I can just drop it off.

£2100 ($3185) to purchase three 64GB 6S+ iPhones in the UK. That's a lot to lay out even if you are intending on getting 2/3 back.

Damn there it is again.

Reactions: Newtons Apple
Received a week 44 yesterday, still have my week 35 here. Both have two identical blemishes, left and right hand side. Definetly nothing changed in production. But the week 44 has a more evenly tinted display and a more firm headphone jack. But week 35 has TSMC, week 44 has Samsung. Not sure what to do..

My thought at this point is to just wait until screen replacement becomes an option. This way, you can have the hardware set up the way you want it otherwise, and just swap out the screen at Apple. They've never let me leave with a messed up screen before after they replace it, but twice now I've had to leave with a phone with a screen issue after they replaced the entire device. It just may be the better option.

Not all of us would be willing to have them do the screen replacement. Usually when parts get replaced, it invite new issues later on. I would think Apple feels the same way. That's why they have refurbished units aside for such situations like this.

Keep which one is the less obvious and set your sights on the iPhone 7 assuming you upgrade every year. At some point you have to move on from the returning/replacing. This year the odds are against everyone.

Oh boy obviously this is still an issue. Just wait it out! No need to keep returning. You're wasting your time and it's embarrassing to constantly go back to the store. If you can't do that then get a refund. I returned twice and same issue so kept the last one that is less noticeable.

It's an issue to those who wish to make it an issue.
It does not disrupt the functionality of my device. I had to look for this to see it. It's visible under such specific circumstances that, essentially, it's not there.
If I had to describe the level of disruption it causes me, it would be at .05%
But then, I don't obsess over a dot that's less than a quarter inch in diameter that is only a very very translucent light grey and occupies the bottom left margin of the screen only when I'm in a totally white page.

At this point of time I wonder if Apple already knows! My blemish is really faint. I keep brightness at about half at all times anyways. That alone doesn't show the blemish.

However, the mother-in-law's phone has a pretty ugly blemish that can be seen at almost any brightness unless it's illuminated to the max.

it sounds like return hell out there.

I hate the smell of the apple store in the morning.

Just received the 4th one this morning. Week 45 from F2 Foxconn, iOS 9.1 already installed from the factory. It's somewhat better. But still there. Giving it few days to see if it goes away as its fresh out of the factory last week.

For those who has the issue but kept it anyway, Has it fade away to where you can't see it anymore?

My third iphone 6s is week 43 with ios 9.1 preinstalled and the screen is nearly identical (top being darker) with my previous 41 week ones. I have noticed though that the battery had 2 load cycles already when i got it. All three phones were purchased new and sealed from the same applestore. Do you think that apple started a more extensive testing at the end of the production line? What would explain the 2 battery load cycles on a brand new and sealed phone?

As for the battery, I'm pretty sure they have to do some testing to maintain. I would be more concerned if the battery came with 10 load cycles.

Mine's going back. Noticed the swollen bump in the back of the iPhone. And it can be felt. This is the last straw for me with Plus. Disappointed with the quality control. Sigh.

Bump on the back? Never heard this one before. What's happening exactly?
