Which chips measles and 6th day? I'm just trying to see if what I heard was true. Have you two getting white box replacements or brand new and sealed? I don't need to return mine until Jan. Apple holiday return policy. I might just wait until then.

I hate how lowlight video is much darker then my 4s and 5s. Photos are great in lowlight but when you switch to video it's dark but when you take video from the message app it's fine. There is a thread on this already since 6 plus the issue has not been resolved. I'm sure partly it's because 30fps as opposed to 24fps but it's fine filming in the message app. I usually use my phone at the birthday party every year but this year they were so dark it was horrible. 5s and 4s were great. My friend with the Samsung S6 had to take over filming because mine were horrible.

Sorry for my rant. Lol.

All of mine were also returned/repurchased

For some reason I like the info on my phone to match the box.

Can you clarify with an apple rep about the holiday return policy?

When I went to get the 2 phones, I was told by a rep that the extended return policy only applies if you DONT activate the phone. In other words you can open it, inspect it, put it on a shrine and worship it for all anybody cares, but the minute you activate it and start using it, the regular 14 day return policy applies.

I think she was mistaken and verified it with another rep before I left and he told me the same thing.

If it's the case, then it's ludicrous and wouldn't make sense for Apple to have such a policy, unless it applies to only iPhones.

Samsung and brand new wrapped. I did return/repurchase.

Since you are in holiday period. Wait till end of December and order new one as they ship overnight free.

I believe iOS 9.2 fix the video lag. It should be out at end of November. I could be wrong.
Thanks. It's not video lag. It's video darkness. Lol

I never heard that before but mine is sim free. Maybe it's different on a contract phone. I never heard you can't open a phone to return.

Yeah contract phones come with 14 days. Sim free is holiday return. Because there's no contract tied to them. Carriers has 14 days trial period. So that make sense. Mines sim free. So I got till Jan 8. All iPhones I returned, said "eligible for return: jan 8".

Cool!

Mines the same sim-free. That's good they have an extended holiday return policy.

Did you buy the two online or in-store reservation. Out of curiosity Samsung or TSMC chip? Only because I read somewhere lately no more TSMC chip will be used.
Actually they still use TSMC

I believe the holiday returns does not apply to carrier phones that are purchased on contract or financed at the Apple store, and I believe this only applies to phones that are purchased at full price.

That aside, Week 43, TSMC chip here. So they still use TSMC.

My thought at this point is to just wait until screen replacement becomes an option. This way, you can have the hardware set up the way you want it otherwise, and just swap out the screen at Apple. They've never let me leave with a messed up screen before after they replace it, but twice now I've had to leave with a phone with a screen issue after they replaced the entire device. It just may be the better option.

Doesn't the homebutton get replaced with the screen?

I got my screen replaced today and its much better. The blemishes are still there but extemely faint and very little curtian effect. It only takes about 45 min to do if there not busy. I did lose my ultra silky smooth home button but this one is'nt bad with no play it's just more clicky.

So you are saying that they can now do screen only replacements?

They don't charge for this either?

Hi all, a little bit out of topic here. I feel that the back of the 6s plus is not 100% flat. I mean I can feel the inconsistency in flatness without a case. A little bump...anyone notice this?

If they can reproduce the same issue as you can then they surely can replace the screen.

Got it. Thanks for this tip! Should be useful in case the rest of the phone is flawless. I just hope my hypothetical replacement screen has no issues! :p

So I was asked to go to the Apple Store for them to verify the hardware issues. The genius who initially started helping me not only acknowledged that my phone had issues, but that my wife's did as well. Then the piece of trash manager came over and said "I don't see anything" and basically sent us away. Not only did the genius change his tune when the manager showed up, but the manager basically told us he wouldn't help us no matter what. This is the same manager who told me that cracking my watch screen wasn't eligible for an Apple care Incident where my deductible would apply to pay for 1 of the 2 allowable losses, as he said it's only "cosmetic." I had to call an Applecare representative to have them tell him he was wrong and to allow it. If you are having these issues, don't bother visiting the Rockaway, NJ Apple Store. The one manager is trash. The senior adviser that I've been working with even threw a fit when she found out what happened, and not only called the store to put him in his place, but involved customer care directly to me because they also agree that he was completely out of line. Thankfully there are 3 other stores in the area because I'll never visit that store again.

TL;DR: Apple still sending me my 5th phone, and now my wife's 6S has the same issue. Ugh.

ugh i miss the 6S Plus I had for a couple of days but I can't get over the damn blemish point. and it seems from this thread that the blemishes are still there, ridiculous!

I received my iPhone 6s Plus today. It is a week 43 and I am absolutely happy with it. It is finally a good phone. The screen has no blemish and no blue tint. The shadows on the top are still there but fortunately they are very hard to see. I asked for a replace three times in a row. I live in Mexico. I will definitely keep this phone. The screen is great.
