Got mine swapped yesterday and it still has the pressure points albeit slightly like the last one. Everything else is great with no play in the buttons and switches. The home button is the best one I've had which is quiet with no play at all. The head phone jack is good as well. It's a week 42 sammy and the battery seems fine so far and its running good with no lag. The genius reimaged it for 9.1 then I restored it later. Definitely a keeper. I have come to the conclusion that the pressure points are from the 3d touch connection to the screen and won't be fixed with this model.

Apologies for going OT

Home button is quiet? I have never got to the bottom of what a home button is meant to sound like! If you google, some say it is meant to be quiet, some say its okay to be squishy, and others say it should make a nice obvious click sound/action. Mine makes a clear and precise, click as I press it...there is no play (i.e. when the button is not being pressed fully, there is no possible movement or sounds from the home button). Is it not meant to make a distinctive click when fully depressing it? My new iPad pro also clicks but quieter and the home button itself has much less physical travel than the iPhone 6S Plus one.

I took a look at ifixit teardown. It looks like iPad pro has different design that is pretty different than the iPhone 6S. I would think that the iPhone has more structural supporting to ensure the home button would handle all the beating while iPad Pro isn't subject to the beating. That would make sense for less physical travel.

Personally, I think that physical home button is outdated. I am really surprised that Apple haven't got rid of the physical mechanism behind it. Hopefully 3D Touch in the picture would help get rid of it for 7.

If it is something you would be ok with. Then keep it! Honestly, out of 4 I have had. I wish I kept the first one. Too late for that now. :)

Nah. My i4 and i5 both developed yellow blotches after 12-18 months of use.

Looks like my top left has developed that thing that looks under the screen like a tear drop. But not yellow like my first two in upper left.

This quality control is so bad.

Still not swapping!! At least it's not a yellow blotch.

Where are you at with returns?

I've still got the Samsung chipped 6S+ that I got 11 or 12 days ago. Just tired of returns but I'm not liking the display, or the loose lightning port.

Apple is shipping me a new phone phone with their express replacement program since this is going to be my 4th phone. However, I'm not hopeful as since they sent me the serial number of the new device already, it's still a week 37 phone. At this point I've been working with a senior adviser who has been as helpful as she can be, but I'm going to tell her this is my last attempt before I wait until they get this sorted out. 4 phones is way too many to go through for all of them to have the same pronounced issue.

2 iPhone 6S+ 128GB Sim-free Rose Gold:

1. More distinct shadows at the top, no pressure point on bottom left, week 45, everything else good
2. Very less distinct shadows at the top, no pressure point on bottom left, week 45, scratch near lightning port

Did you buy the two online or in-store reservation. Out of curiosity Samsung or TSMC chip? Only because I read somewhere lately no more TSMC chip will be used.

Didn't check, returned both of them and swapped it for 2 new ones again, same type, same week.

Guess which one I'm taking? This one has a very light shadow at the top if at all, and may be hard to tell on the photos. I'm not even sure if it's even there, my eyes may be playing tricks on me. Ignore the side shadows if you see them, it's the camera angle. The other phone, you can clearly see.

This was the best of the bunch, and I'm done playing the lottery game. I'm gonna return the other one tomorrow.

I didnt check whether either phones has the samsung or tsmc, and at this point I dont really care, as it as already been shown that there is little differences when it comes down to it.

I'll still check whether the phone I'm keeping has the tsmc chip, but waiting on my glass protector before I play around with it.

The one on the left? Were these replacements in white box or brand new?

You have the source? I pulled the trigger on one 6S few days ago. It was a Sammy. But just my luck, It has awful shadow on top. I ended up returning it. So I decided to gamble with getting 3 6S+ at once. They're arriving today. And they're Week 43 C39, all 3. Which is striking me for weird. I presume its because the Silver isn't in high demand at the moment. Which is fine with me. Last time I had a week 43, It was almost great except for crap home button. So, here to hope for at least one out of 3 being good. Even two or so. :)

Got my new phone. Same issues. I'm not even activating the replacement since it's pretty much the same as the one I have, I'm just sending it back. This will be 4 phones that I've gone through at this point. Like I said earlier in this thread, when I talk to the senior advisor tomorrow that I've been working with, I'm going to tell her to just put a note that once they can replace the screens they just replace mine that way, so that I don't end up with yet another week 37 phone (I don't know why I keep getting the same old ones no matter where they come from).

Replacements don't get as much turnover.

The production week doesn't matter at the moment. I received my second 6S+ from week 45 and a have a week 35 still here and all are pretty much the same. Two blemishes, one left, one right side, same spot. There is definetly no change in production.

Yes. 6thDAY and crawltochina is correct. I just received 3 week 43. One was horrible. Another two was quite very close. I kept the best one. And this one is actually quite very good for total of 7 6S+ I went through. So I'm happy to close this chapter.

Cheers.

How is your best one compared to my best?

Which chips measles and 6th day? I'm just trying to see if what I heard was true. Have you two getting white box replacements or brand new and sealed? I don't need to return mine until Jan. Apple holiday return policy. I might just wait until then.

I hate how lowlight video is much darker then my 4s and 5s. Photos are great in lowlight but when you switch to video it's dark but when you take video from the message app it's fine. There is a thread on this already since 6 plus the issue has not been resolved. I'm sure partly it's because 30fps as opposed to 24fps but it's fine filming in the message app. I usually use my phone at the birthday party every year but this year they were so dark it was horrible. 5s and 4s were great. My friend with the Samsung S6 had to take over filming because mine were horrible.

Sorry for my rant. Lol.

Samsung and brand new wrapped. I did return/repurchase.

Since you are in holiday period. Wait till end of December and order new one as they ship overnight free.

I believe iOS 9.2 fix the video lag. It should be out at end of November. I could be wrong.
