The Note 8 price could be a precursor to a $1000+ USD iPhone 8/X/Pro. I will refrain from buying one unless there is a good promo. If not, LG V30/G6 here I come.

Rumours new iPhone will come with 512Gb

Wonder how much that will be

If there really is a 512gb iPhone, hopefully that would be why there's rumours of such high prices. Can't see it personally though. They've only just introduced 256gb which is already a high capacity for most people.

Well they brought it with the iPad so would make sense

Could they leak the prices already for the new iPhone 7S/7S+/8? That way people can get an idea. I expect over a $1000 USD now for the highest end model at 64gb because of the Note 8.

Well we saw the price for the Note 8, 960 USD.

So we would be lucky if the iPhone 8 is at 999 USD, which is sad because it's so expensive :(

($960 if you opt for Verizon or AT&T, and even worse in the UK thanks to the pound’s Brexit-induced weakness)
I can see the iPhone 8 being a bit of a flop in the UK due to our current weak pound. It's going to have to be well over £1000 to be relative to other countries and I can't see that being at all popular. To be honest I think all phones are going to hit a struggle here in the next few months.

9to5Mac are saying that according to a poll, only 18% of buyers would pay over $1000 for an iPhone 8. Personally I think people will pay anything for the phone

I think in the USA it may be a bit of a bummer for folks who are on Verizon. They just announced that they will limit viewing of Youtube, Netflix, Vimeo, or other high resolution video streaming providers to either 480 or 720 for cellular telephones and 1080 for tablets. So if the new iPhone screen is capable of over 1080p - owners will never be able to realize its true potential. One mght be able to bypass these restrictions by using a VPN but it's too early to tell at this point. I can already see customers leaving Verizon over this.

There are a lot of people here and on other tech sites saying they won't pay that much so I wouldn't assume everybody is going to change their mind once they see the phone. You might be happy paying however much it may be, but not everybody is as enthusiastic. Whenever I've mentioned the rumoured price to family, friends and colleagues, the reaction has mostly be a chuckle and a denial that the cost is realistic. I think the 7S will be the most popular and will prop up the potentially impressive profits Apple will get. I doubt we'll see a breakdown for how many units that are sold, much like the Apple Watch.

I can't remember this much fuss being made in the past over iPhone pricing. Times have changed and the smartphone market is full of healthy options.

I will buy it, but it will probably be very expensive here in Sweden (current prices are 11.5x more than in US, even though 1 USD is just 8.1 SEK. So basically 40% more expensive). But I also bought first of most  stuff. "Normal people" will get 7S or 7S Plus for sure.

But why get a phone which is hardly an upgrade over the existing 7. Glass back and wireless charging isn't worth $700 in the slightest for a upgrade.

Most of the 6 owners upgraded to the 6s or 7 and both sets of customers won't find anything worth upgrading to as the 7s is essentially a 7 with a glass back.

$1K is what my 256 7 Plus cost me so no I don't have an issue with paying that. plus with the carrier payments only around 40 per month its not that bad.

So 999$ for the base 64gb iPhone 8. So it will probably be 1099$ for the 256gb iPhone 8. And 1299$ for the top 512gb iPhone. I say this because for the iPad pro the jump from 256gb to 512gb is 200$. Shut up and take my kidney!!

I'll pay this for next year's plus model.. not paying it for this year's hype train.
